Rescue her

Shatter my glass cage
and let me feel free for real.

No longer crashing into walls
that I can't see.

I can't endlessly walk in circles
waiting for you to come.

I guess I don't need a savior,
but I still want him to save me.

Break my heart that lingers on.

I want you to return to rescue me.

You see the walls surrounding me.

The hammer is in your hand.

Throw it my way and watch
as it crumbles down
into a million pieces,
each one cutting
my untouched faithful skin.

Take me away and take me apart.

Leave the body parts scattered
as the glass still punctures
through me.

I don't care.

You do as you please.

I just want you to return to me.

Rescue me
from my own obstacle,
barricading me inside
my thoughts and mind.

Feeling stuck and relying on another to come save you. Feeling depressed and expecting another person to magically heal you, but you know it won't do anything if you're not going to put in the work, too. It doesn't even have to be depression it can be loneliness or some other unfortunate state of being. That wasn't too confusing, I hope.
