We spent our spare time on musical cruises,
Playing lyrical games where neither of us loses,
Mixing in spoonerisms for extra points,
Magical wordplay was spouted in between joints,

Riding the high with favourite tunes on review,
Humorous giggles would ensue coo-coo-cachoo,
I laid down the gauntlet to my funny bone brother,
One of us always trying to outdo the other,

Those sandy golden days at outlet beach,
Such fond memories are getting harder to reach,
Spring rolls and pho ga went well with meetings of the mind,
With an after dinner mint made from skunky fresh grind,

My partner in rhyme has past on from this realm,
Leaving me to compose with myself alone at the helm,
So I'll steer my visionary powers back in time when feeling blue,
If ole Jark were still here he'd know what to do, crack a joke or two.
