The next day
[Caroline was over at The Boarding House and was telling Katherine's message to them. She told Stefan, Damon, and Mason that Katherine said that she wanted the moonstone at the masquerade party and that she wanted Mason dead. Damon and Stefan both agreed to kill Katherine that same night, Alaric, Jeremy, Annabelle, Victoria, and Bonnie were also there. Alaric, Annabelle, and Jeremy agreed to stay behind at the Gilbert house to help keep an eye on Elena alongside her parents, and Jenna]
<at night>
{In the Lockwood Mansion}
[The party had already begun and the Lockwood mansion was full of people. Victoria and Bonnie got the special room for Katherine ready, and as they were going downstairs, Bonnie felt something. She asked her if she felt what she was feeling, but she told her no, and Bonnie followed the feeling she was feeling. It led her to a woman in the dining room with a gold mask and a black dress. Her name was Lucy and she was Katherine's plus-one and a witch. Of course, she didn't tell that to Bonnie when Bonnie asked if she knew her. She walked away after telling Bonnie she was a plus one and that it was a great party]
Victoria: You okay?
Bonnie: I just got a weird feeling, let's go find Damon
(They went to find Damon)
{With Elena}
[Jenna told Elena that Victoria was probably too busy writing a song when Elena asked her if she wasn't coming down for pizza and that she would come get some when she was done. Elena told her that she was going to get napkins]
{In the kitchen}
Elena: Dad, what's going on?
Grayson Gilbert: What do you mean?
Elena: I haven't heard from anyone all day, it's like everyone's been avoiding me, and TJ hasn't had dinner yet because she's too busy writing a song
Grayson Gilbert: You know how your sister is when she's writing a song
(Alaric's phone vibrated, Elena went to grab it, but Alaric took it, and then he put it in his back pocket)
Elena: Well then I'll just take some pizza slices to TJ
Miranda Gilbert: She'll come down in a little bit, it's best if you don't interrupt her
Elena: What are you guys hiding?
Jenna: Nothing, Elena, relax, Tori needs to fully concentrate on what she's doing
Elena: I'm just gonna bring her some food, it won't take more than a second
Miranda Gilbert: I'll go take her up some, don't worry, you sit down and eat
Elena: Fine
(She sat down, Miranda took some pizza slices, and went upstairs. She then came back a few seconds later)
[Stefan was dancing with Katherine because she made him dance with her or else she would kill someone. Stefan did not give in to her demands on how to give her the moonstone and insisted on doing things his way or no way. When Aimee confused Katherine for Elena and complimented her, Katherine thanked her, went behind her, and killed her, shocking Stefan. Stefan went to put the body in the trunk of his car and wanted to back out but Damon didn't let him and told him that he had his back. Stefan agreed to keep going, the plan continued, and Lucy confronted Katherine about not telling her that another witch was involved. Katherine reminded her that Lucy owed her a favor and asked her if she wanted to lose her friendship. Lucy didn't say anything and Katherine took it as an acceptance]
{With Elena}
[She told her parents, Jenna, Alaric, Jeremy, and Annabelle that she was going to go to bed. She sneakily grabbed Alaric's keys, went to her room, and escaped through the window]
{With Katherine and Lucy}
[Victoria interrupted them asking to speak to her sister, Lucy left, and Victoria told Katherine that Stefan and Damon wanted her to meet them at the edge of the lake]
Katherine: And why are you their little messenger?
(Victoria scoffs)
Victoria: Because I know I'm not afraid of you
Katherine: Oh, you Gilbert family members, so courageous, how's John, by the way? Were they able to sew his fingers back on?
[Katherine walked away and Victoria sent a text to Caroline. She started to walk away but then Elena pulled Victoria to the side by the bushes making her gasp]
Elena: What the hell is going on?
Victoria: You scared me
Elena: Sorry
Victoria: What are you doing here?
Elena: That doesn't matter, what is going on?
{Inside the Lockwood Mansion}
[Tyler invited Matt and Sarah to his dad's study. Matt and Caroline smile at each other and Matt goes inside with the others. Caroline saw Victoria's text and walked away]
{With Caroline}
[Katherine grabbed Caroline's arm, turned her around, and pushed her against the wall. Katherine made Caroline tell her everything, Caroline told her what she wanted to hear, and then she led Katherine upstairs]
{With Elena}
(Victoria and Bonnie told her what they were up to)
{With Katherine}
[Caroline began to giggle making Katherine turn around. Katherine had fallen into their trap, she tried to get Caroline, but she was trapped, Caroline said goodbye to Katherine, and then she walked off]
Katherine: You don't think you can kill me with that can you?
Stefan: No, but he can
[Damon came out of the closet and shot Katherine in the back. Elena's back started to bleed making her scream in pain. Stefan stabbed Katherine in the arm with a stake making her bleed. Elena's arm started to bleed as well and that's when Bonnie realized that Elena was linked to Katherine. She told Victoria and then told her to make Stefan and Damon stop, Victoria took off her heels, and then ran inside the mansion quickly. Stefan removed the stake from her arm and went to attack her again, but Katherine pushed him away making Stefan break a table. Damon removed the stake from her back, Katherine turned around, Damon went to stab her again, but Katherine grabbed his arm and pushed him away making Damon hit the wall, fall on a chair making him knock down a lamp, and land on the floor. Stefan released another stake from his wrist making Katherine turn around. He threw the stake but Katherine bent down just in time, he released another stake and threw it at her, but she caught it and threw it at Stefan. He bent down just in time, Damon stood up, Katherine turned around, and he went to attack her, but Katherine grabbed his arm and neck, and threw him away from her making Damon land on a cushioned seat, falling on the floor, and at the same time, knocking over that seat. Damon quickly stood up and went to attack her again with a stake but Katherine grabbed his wrist, turned the stake around, and was going to use it on him. However, Stefan grabbed her from behind, they both landed on the floor, and Stefan held her in place with his arm around her neck. Damon was about to stab her with a stake in her chest when Victoria arrived to stop them]
Victoria: Stop! You're hurting EJ, everything you're doing to her is hurting her
[Damon pulled away, Stefan's grip on Katherine weakened, Katherine stood up, and Stefan got up as well. Katherine questioned them asking them if they thought that the two of them were the only ones with a witch on their side and then took away Damon's stake]
Damon: Tori, go check on Elena and make sure she's okay
(Victoria ran away)
Katherine: Let's all make sure poor, little, defenseless Elena is okay
[Katherine made a cut on her hand with the stake but then Stefan knocked it away. Bonnie couldn't break the spell but started chanting to take away some of the pain that Elena was feeling. Katherine was about to stake herself in the stomach but Damon stopped her and Katherine stopped. She then sat down and asked for the moonstone. Victoria went back to Elena to check on her and Elena asked if Stefan and Damon were okay. Victoria told her that they were stuck in there with her and then told Bonnie that Katherine had a witch link Elena to her. Bonnie realized that it was the girl she had seen and told Victoria to stay with her and keep pressure on her shoulder. Victoria asked her where she was going, Bonnie quickly told her that there was another witch at the party and that she was going to go find her. Victoria kept pressure on Elena's shoulder while Bonnie went to find the other witch]
{With Tyler and the others}

{With Damon, Stefan, and Katherine}

{With Tyler and Caroline}
[Matt woke up and went to Caroline's car after she offered him her keys so that he could sleep it off. Caroline and Tyler went to get Tyler's mom, Carol was shocked and told Tyler to go call Sheriff Forbes, and he went to call her. Caroline orchestrated a lie that she and Matt were fighting, Sarah was drunk dancing, she tripped and hit her head, and then she wasn't breathing. Tyler's mom believed her, she called Sarah's foster parents, and Tyler came back to tell her that Sheriff Forbes arrived. Carol left and Tyler began questioning Caroline about why she did what she did. She answered him and was going to keep talking until Tyler interrupted her]
Tyler: But she's dead, you don't know what that means
Caroline: Actually, Tyler, I think I do
Tyler: No, you don't, Caroline
[Caroline asked him if his wound had healed, Tyler checked his wound, and it was gone. Tyler was shocked and began asking her how but she didn't answer him]
{With the others}
[Bonnie found out that Lucy was her extended cousin, Lucy thanked her, and when Bonnie asked her how she stayed out of the vampire business, Lucy told her that she was one of the good ones and that she was right where she needed to be. Stefan gave Elena some blood so she could heal, Elena healed immediately, and she told Victoria that she would go in Alaric's truck. Victoria then got into Jenna's car and drove Bonnie home]
{With Katherine}

(He got out of the tomb and drove home)
{With Elena}
[She was about to get into Alaric's truck but then someone grabbed her covering her mouth and took her away]
