Chapter 41

The next day
[Alexia had to leave but was able to dry out Stefan for 30 years. Alaric and Damon showed Elena and Victoria the wall, and Elena had the idea of asking Rebekah for her family's history. They asked her, and eventually, she told them everything. Damon let Stefan out, Elena got mad at him, and Damon and Stefan ran into Mikael. Elena and Victoria discovered that it was Klaus who killed his mother, and they went to tell Rebekah, which made her break down in tears, anger, and betrayal. Mikael threatened to kill Damon by plunging his hand into his heart, Stefan gave in, and he told Mikael that he could lure Klaus back to town. Mikael let Damon live and told him not to go back on his word, or he would kill the both of them. Damon beat Stefan up, then he went to the Gilbert home, and sneaked into Elena's room through her window]
{In Elena's Bedroom}
***PRETEND THAT ELENA SAID SHE AND VICTORIA GOT REBEKAH ON THEIR SIDE AND NOT JUST HER***

(Damon turned to get out of her bed but Elena grabbed his arm making him turn back to her)
Elena: No, wait, stay with me
Damon: Your parents would murder me in my sleep
Elena: No they won't, they won't admit it, but I know they like you, sometimes
Damon: That sometimes is gonna turn into a never and I'm gonna end up with a stake in my chest and my head cut off
Elena: Don't be such a drama queen
Damon: If anything I'm a drama king
Elena: Damon, stay the night with me, please
Damon: Alright, fine, but if your parents murder me in my sleep then I'm coming back to haunt you
Elena: Yeah, Yeah, whatever, and take your boots off of my bed, I did the laundry today
Damon: Fine
[He took off his boots and his jacket, laid down underneath the covers with Elena, and she scooted all the way to him putting her arm around his waist and her head on his chest. He smiled, put his arms around her, placed his chin on top of her head, and then kissed her hair. After a short while, they both fell asleep in each other's arms]

The next day
[Miranda went to check on her children who were still asleep. She first checked on Jeremy and Annabelle who were sleeping comfortably in each other's arms making her smile. She then checked on Victoria, and then she opened Elena's bedroom door to find her sleeping with Damon. She was so shocked and closed the door gently, Grayson was coming up the stairs and saw his wife's face]
Grayson Gilbert: What?
Miranda Gilbert: I have no idea what I just walked into
Grayson Gilbert: What are you talking about?
Miranda Gilbert: I just walked in to check on Elena and I found her sleeping with Damon
Grayson Gilbert: What? I'm gonna kill him
Miranda Grayson: Let me rephrase my words, sleeping beside each other
Grayson Gilbert: I'm still gonna kill him
Miranda Gilbert: Shh, you know sleeping vampires are easily awoken, be quiet, Elena is eighteen
Grayson Gilbert: I don't care if she's twenty-one, I'm still gonna kill him for sleeping in one of my daughter's rooms, if anything he can take the sofa
Miranda Gilbert: It's not like they're naked and you know that they're both attracted to each other, they've always been attracted to each other from day one, it's obvious and it's always been obvious
Grayson Gilbert: That doesn't mean he can just sneak into her window and get in her bed
Miranda Gilbert: I know, come on
[She opened the door, and they saw them still sleeping making Grayson clear his throat, and Damon whispered with his eyes closed]
Damon: You do realize you woke me up two minutes ago with your loud whispering, right?
(Elena opened her eyes and looked up at Damon smiling)
Elena: Good morning
(Damon looked down at her smiling too)
Damon: Hello, we've got visitors
Elena: What?
(Elena looked and sees her parents making her eyes widen)
Miranda Gilbert: Yeah
Elena: Mom, Dad, I can explain
Grayson Gilbert: Really? Start explaining
Elena: I asked him to stay the night with me, that's it
(Damon and Elena pulled away from each other)
Damon: See ya later
Elena: Yep
(Damon put on his boots and jacket and then left through the window. Her parents looked at her again)
Elena: Nothing else happened
(Annabelle opened up the bathroom door)
Annabelle: Not that you wouldn't want to
Elena: Shut up
Annabelle: Am I lying?
(Victoria walked by the hallway)
Victoria: Nope
Annabelle: See
Elena: You shut up too
[Annabelle closed the bathroom door, Miranda and Grayson Gilbert rolled their eyes, then walked out, and Elena blushed]
Annabelle: I bet you're blushing!
Elena: I am not!
Annabelle: Lies!
Elena: I said shut up
Annabelle: Nah, I'm good
(Elena groaned and laid back down)
<later on at night>
[Mikael arrived at the boarding house, Elena daggered Mikael, and Stefan lured Klaus back into town. Rebekah confirmed it to Klaus, he agreed to come back, and Elena undaggered Mikael]

The next day
{In The Salvatore Boarding House}
[Elena and Victoria arrived after school to help prepare all the weapons, and Elena knew that they couldn't trust Rebekah to not turn on them. Victoria and Damon obviously agreed, Damon told them that he had a backup plan, and Elena told Stefan that if Klaus asked him the wrong question then the whole plan would fall apart. However, Stefan told her that according to their track record of school dances, it was Elena's humanity that got in the way. Elena decided to dagger Rebekah because she needed to do what was needed to protect her loved ones, Victoria offered to do it so Elena wouldn't feel guilty, but Elena told her not to worry and that she was going to do it. Elena daggered Rebekah, Damon, and Stefan put her in the cellar, the school gym got flooded, so Tyler moved the homecoming dance to his house. Klaus arrived, he called Stefan because he wanted to see Mikael's dead body, and Mikael bit Stefan until he passed out. Katherine took Elena's place and went to the dance with Matt, Victoria wished them all luck, and she went back to The Gorilla Club with her friends to try the balls of pain again. Tyler vervained Caroline to keep her safe, he asked Matt to take her somewhere safe, and he went back to the party. Matt did as he was asked, Katherine sneaked away to feed a blood bag to Stefan, and she told him to care because if he killed Klaus then Damon would be dead. She went back to the party and Stefan made up his mind]
{In The Lockwood Mansion with Klaus}
[One of Klaus' hybrids let him know that Mikael demanded to see him, Klaus had no choice but to go see him, Mikael revealed to him that hybrids were part vampires, so they could still be compelled by him]

(Stefan left and secretly got in Katherine's car)
{In The Salvatore Boarding House}

{With Stefan and Katherine}
[Katherine told Stefan that she loved both him and Damon, he, of course, didn't believe her as always, and then she told him that she needed him to get mad. Stefan decided to steal Klaus's coffins to get his revenge]
{In The Salvatore Boarding House}
Damon: You should go home
Elena: I think it's best if I stay here tonight
Damon: Elena, go home
Elena: No
(Damon went up to her)
Damon: I said go home
Elena: And I told you no
Damon: You've got school tomorrow
Elena: I can just pick up my things in the morning, my homework is done
Damon: Fine, do whatever you want to do
Elena: I will
[Damon kept drinking, Elena told her parents that she would be staying at the boarding house that night, and she sat quietly beside Damon as he drank]
{With Caroline and Tyler}
[He asked Caroline not to turn her back on him because he was willing to be sired to Klaus so that he wouldn't turn every full moon. She couldn't give him the answer he wanted, so technically, they had just broken up, and Tyler left her home]
