Once, I dreamed of how we'd meet again, if ever,
Wondering the first thought to cross my mind
Would it be love's first spark or the echo of heartbreak's start?
But it was neither—only the weight of a broken promise.

In the early morning light, Jungkook strolls down the grand staircase of the mansion, zipping up his tracksuit and tapping his smartwatch to start his morning diagnostics. As he descends, he catches sight of the elders gathered around the dining table, their heads huddled together in hushed conversation. Without giving it much thought, Jungkook greets them with a casual, "Good morning," and adds, "I'll be going for a morning jog."
He doesn't notice the nervous glances they exchange as he looks away, too focused on getting outside. Mrs. Kim fidgets with her cup, and Mr. Jeon clears his throat, but Jungkook is already walking away, unaware of the tension in the room.
Once outside, Jungkook heads to the gardens and begins his jog, feeling the crisp morning air fill his lungs. The familiar path through the fields leads him to a clearing at the edge of the forest. He knows this area well; it's a favorite spot for him whenever he needs to escape the chaos of work. The grounds are always patrolled, and with no wild animals in a 10-kilometer radius, it's a safe haven for anyone looking to enjoy the tranquility of nature.
Back inside the mansion, the elders are huddled together, their nerves clearly frayed. Mrs. Kim, wringing her hands, whispers, "What are we going to do? Both of them are here... I'm so nervous about how they'll react."
Namjoon, leaning against the wall, mutters, "It feels like a ticking bomb... Who knows when it's going to explode."
Mr. Jeon, trying to maintain some semblance of calm, says, "Let's just hope everything goes according to plan. They'll be angry, but we'll have to manage the situation."
Mrs. Jeon, her voice trembling, adds, "Who could have imagined a day like this would come... They were so close once."
Namjoon, noticing movement out of the corner of his eye, subtly nudges his mother. "Shh, here he comes," he whispers, pointing discreetly towards the staircase where Taehyung is descending, also dressed in a jogging suit.
Taehyung reaches the bottom of the stairs, greeting the group with a quick, "Morning," just like Jungkook had done earlier. "I'm going for a walk. Anyone want to join? Namjoon?" he asks, glancing around.
Namjoon almost jumps at the suggestion, quickly shaking his head. "No, no, you should just, uh, get familiar with the area. If you get lost, just give me a call," he says a little too quickly.
Taehyung raises an eyebrow, throwing a weird look in Namjoon's direction. "Okay... I'll be back in half an hour."
Namjoon, trying to suppress his nerves, mutters under his breath as Taehyung heads out, "Hopefully in good mood... both of them."
