playιng: [Say Something] - [A great big world]
*highly recommended to listen this while or before reading for the effects
Note : Today's chapter is more on narrative side...so I would ask to try not to skip much if not want to miss small details.. I know narrative chapters can get boring, still.

If I had spoken sooner, would we have changed our fate?
But words back then held little weight, or came too late.
Had you seen the signs, could I have been saved too?
Or was our destiny to break, no matter what we knew?

Jungkook had always idolized Taehyung, looking up to him as not just a boyfriend but as a best friend and mentor. When it came time for college, there was no question in his mind that he wanted to follow Taehyung's footsteps. Despite their two-year difference, Jungkook worked hard to get into the same prestigious university where Taehyung was already excelling.
Before the semester even began, Taehyung had already made arrangements for them to share the same dorm. It wasn't just about convenience; it was about the unspoken bond they shared, the need to be close, to support each other in every way possible.
Now, in Taehyung's final year and Jungkook's first, they spent every moment they could together, just as they always had. After or before classes, they were inseparable. During breaks, they would find a quiet corner in the library to study or catch up. They shared meals in the canteen, talking about everything from their classes to their future dreams.
On game days, Jungkook would be the first on the bleachers, watching Taehyung dominate the field, his heart swelling with pride. Taehyung, in turn, would wait outside the theater after Jungkook's acting practices, leaning casually against a wall, ready to shower him with praise and a warm hug the moment he emerged.
Jungkook was deeply attached to Taehyung, almost dependent on his presence. He was used to having him nearby, used to the comfort and stability Taehyung brought into his life. Even when Taehyung graduated and joined his father's company, taking on the heavy responsibilities that came with it, they still found time for each other. Jungkook left the dorm and then they both got an apartment fro themselves. Everything in it, placed and decorated by themselves, their little sanctuary.
It was as if they were bound by an invisible thread, always pulling them back together no matter how busy life got.
But everything changed during Jungkook's second year when both of their grandfathers passed away within months of each other. The deaths cast a heavy shadow over their families, plunging them into a period of deep mourning. Jungkook was especially close to his grandfather, the man who had always been a guiding light in his life. He cried for nights on end, the grief overwhelming him in waves.
Taehyung was there for him, just as he always had been. He held Jungkook close during those dark days, whispering comforting words and staying by his side through the long, sleepless nights. "It's okay, Kookie," Taehyung would murmur, gently stroking his hair. "I'm here. We'll get through this together."
