Maul was in his private office and looking at the mountains , which reminded him of Dathomir. Soon he would have to return to his home planet and rule the Scarlet Dawn from there. Recent events had been tragic. The abduction to life , the loss of his brother , the loss of power on Mandalore. And now the Sith are back and ruling this galaxy. He cursed at his former master - took away his inheritance and made him a tool , only to forget and replace him with Count Dooku. He was glad that the Jedi had left - Idiots , they were so naive. He touched the belt , which held his body.

"Kenobi," he whispered, passing along the belt. He remembered how Obi-Wan Kenobi had cut him in half. Because of him, he lost his position as an apprentice to Sidious. But before he was cut in half , he killed Kenobi's master Qui-Gon Jinn. Yes , he remembered how his red blade pierced the Jedi's body. He felt the pain and the life that left his soul. Well , he killed him. Stupid heretics.

He remembered how with his brother Savage Opress he sowed fear and chaos in the galaxy. He remembered killing Jedi. He remembered how his brother killed Adi Gaila - at first impaling her on his does , and then killing her with his lightsaber. He remembered the horror on Kenobi's face. Poor Kenobi , another Jedi died before his eyes. He could not forgive the treachery of the pirates - stupid Hondo Ohnaka. He would soon kill him. Fool.

When , he and his brother escaped , they were found by a Group of Mandalorians called 'Death Watch'. Pre Vizsla had his vision for Mandalore - to restore the old order and Mandalorian culture. With him, he built the Shadow Collective - a powerful criminal organization linking every criminal syndicate. When , he invaded Mandalore and took the authorities from Princess Satine Kryze , only to be arrested by Vizsla. But the Sith take revenge - and a lot of it , He left the prison and challenged Pre to a duel. He won , took the darksaber in his hand and beheaded him. He remembered the fear in Bo-Katan Kryze. But , this was the beginning. The beginning of his Empire.

Maul drew his new lightsaber. Like his old saber, it had dual blades. This saber once belonged to the Inquisitor - the new dark warriors , who were once Jedi. Maul despised them - he despised this whole Empire , Palpatine and Vader - or more like Anakin Skywalker. 'The Chosen One , who will bring balance to the Force. ' This was nonsense , lies , heresy. Skywalker was manipulated by Palpatine. What a great thing it was - to turn Skywalker , against the Jedi. What a smart play it was 'master.

He put his lightsaber back in its place. One of the bodyguards approached him. I wonder what he had to convey. The Zabrak looked at him.

"Sir. Your wife, along with Margo and an unknown guest, are coming here." He informed. Maul looked at the mountains again.

"Very well then. Let's welcome them."

Sera , Margo and Matteo exited the elevator leading to the private office. Madreth noticed her husband. She walked up to him and hugged him. Maul reciprocated the hug.

"It's good to see you, darling," she said. Maul broke the hug and looked at his wife.

"You too" He reciprocated. He then looked at Matteo. "Hello Shepard. Nice to see you among the living."

"You too . . . . Seris." Matty looked at Maul. He could sense the anger rising in him. He probably didn't like it.

"I'm not Seris anymore. I'm Maul," he muttered. Shepard rolled his eyes 'What do I care, Sith'. The Zabrak pointed to the couch. Matt and Sera sat down. Maul dismissed Margo - the woman had left the office. He then looked at the two.

"I have a task for you," Maul began, "You must retrieve something for me."

"What is it?" Matteo asked being interested in the task. The Zabrak looked at the Canadian. I guess his approach appealed to him.
