Chapter 22

It has been a round year since Matteo Lorien Shepard dealt with Mother Ne'rra by weakening the Asari Order. Her vision for the galaxy was interrupted by him. In addition, Shepard got rid of quite a few influential people in the criminal underworld - and more. And all this at the behest of Mother Ne'rra , who felt firsthand what it was like to be betrayed.

When , Shepard looked out the window at the orbit of his home planet Earth from his room. Grand Admiral Jane Shepard along with General Lan and Admiral Hackett were discussing matters on just Commander Shepard. Jane was standing in the middle of the conferee room and the two important officials were on a hologram.

"Do you really think , that your nephew can be trusted? Let me remind you , he was a mercenary for some goddess and almost gave away the location of our planet. So I ask again, Grand Admiral - is it a good idea to trust Commander Matteo Lorien Shepard."

Jane as befits a Grand Admiral squared her shoulders "My nephew was lost. I will remind you , he fought on numerous fronts of the Republic and was betrayed by his own clone troop. Now he has returned to his normal health and is fighting in the name of the greater good. He is fighting in our name gentlemen - do not forget how much he has done for us'

"I'll agree with you,Admiral." - Hackett said - Shepard and his family are noble warriors and loyal soldiers. Everyone in his lineage has fought on the front lines , well unless there is something I don't know about your family."

Jane looked at Admiral Hackett with her shoulders not lowered. "My family is a family of warriors I will agree with you. My brother meaning my nephew's father gave his life so that we humanity would continue to live and enjoy life. So when you ask me if I trust Matteo. The answer is : Yes , I trust him and will even risk my rank if you do not trust me."

Hackett and Lane looked at each other - they knew that Jane Shepard was the toughest woman this side of the galaxy. She was not another 'Woke Feminist' but a strong woman coping in the toughest of times. Hackett looked at Shepard.

"If you say so. Let's hope you've thought it all through Admiral." After a moment, Hackett and Lane disappeared from the hologram, leaving Jane alone. The Grand Admiral looked down - may the Force be with her.

In 17 BBY, the Empire began to tighten its fist on the galaxy more and more. Many planets rebelled against the new regime but suffered a humiliating defeat showing the entire galaxy , that it is not worth messing with a regime built on the ruins of the Republic. But in the depths of space, the Systems Aliance were gathering a powerful fleet , which will oppose the Evil Empire. Ordinary soldiers call it a massive attack , but some people call it .

SSV Normandy-SR2 flew through space. The ship's pilot Jeff 'Joker' Moreau' along with his android EDI were doing numerous procedures.

"Hyperdrive on. EDI enter planet coordinates."

A figure dressed in N7 armor made of beskar was walking to the bridge . On his right side dangled a lightsaber . Under his arms were two berreta pistols . On his back was an N7 Valkyria blaster . On his shoulders were two hidden blades and on the back of his right leg was a beskar combat knife . When , he walked every officer saluted him. He arrived at the site looking at the stars.

"Coordinates entered. Initiating hyperspace jump procedure."

'Joker' began typing various commands on the panel. EDI helped speed them up. After a while, a blue tunnel made of stripes began to form. After a while the SSV Normandy jumped into hyperspace.
