MATTEO: Life and Death

Chapter 43

Normandy has returned to service , after long and hard repairs. The frigate passed all tests without any problem. The Joker took so much power out of the machine , that the Normandy flies faster as it should. The crew returned to their tasks. They finally had something to do. The hyperdrive and other things were running like clockwork. Shepard's team was looking forward to their next tasks.

Matteo and his team were in the conference room. Shepard discussed today's mission. It was going to be dark and uninteresting.

"Bando Gora. A secret sect - a sabbat of the dark side of the Force. Their headquarters is located on Kohlm . Their warriors use the Force and neurotoxins to lidid their victims. Before the Clone Wars, the supreme leader was Komari Vosa - former disciple of Count Dooku. According to information on Kohlm's moon, Jango Fett agreed to clone and create the Great Clone Army. Currently, Bando Gora can still pose a threat."

"How dangerous are they sir?" Arno Renault asked.

"They probably cooperate with the Empire. They are assassins , and the Emperor is probably using them for his purposes. Our task will be to eradicate this sect once and for all. We will throw away the garbage that didn't make it into the trash."

"How dangerous will this mission be?" Mac asked the next question.

"Well, very dangerous. We are talking about a cult , which can use from the dark side of the Force and on many followers. The priestess herself will be a very difficult confession. She was a Jedi. We don't know who it was."

"This mission is the perfect plot for a good horror movie." Cindy Moon added.

"It sounds better than the current Disney movies," Mac added.

"I'll agree. It still lacks some good rock music , super girls like Sarah Connor or Ridley and explosions." Matt smiled. Then his communicator began to ring. "The briefing is over. Get back together," he said, answering the call. "Yes?"

"This is Rosalia. I want you to meet someone." She said. Matt rolled his eyes. He should have ignored it but now he had nothing to do. All in all, it's worth getting to know someone. The person could be useful to you as a war resource.

"Sure , I'm on my way." answered. He left the room and headed for the lab.

Matt arrived at the lab. He went inside and saw Rosalia working with an unknown woman. She was an alien - a Halasi to be exact. She had gray clothes and a lightsaber on her right side. She was holding a tablet in her hand and writing down unknown things. Rosalia was looking through the latest file. The alien's eyes were golden and her skin was yellow. Ros interrupted her work and looked at the Candadian.

"Matteo. This is Doctor Rig Nema. She is a Jedi Doctor. She survived the purge and holed up deep in the galaxy. The Alliance found her and recruited her to the science team. She is a valuable acquisition just like Doctor Liara T'soni." She explained. Rig approached him and extended her free hand forward.

"Nice to meet you." She said. Matt shook her hand. Her skin was smooth and soft. Nema looked tired. Shepard thought , she died in the attack on the temples on Coruscant but did not want to ask about it. He guessed that memories of the tragic night in which a mass of Jedi were listlessly slaughtered might return to her mind. He let go of her hand and looked at her beautiful golden eyes.

"Reciprocally. It is an honor to meet the person , who dealt with Master Yoda. I have heard of you before. You are a genius in treating others. We didn't have the honor of meeting during the Clone Wars , so I guess now is the time." A gentle smile appeared on Matt's face. Another acquaintance added to the list." I would like to talk to you longer , but I have to get ready for the mission. There will be one big red mist I can tell."
