STAR'S POV
FRIDAY...

The sun hadn't come out yet and it was already extremely early in the morning. Jacob finished putting my belongings into his car. We were set to go after I had made us lattes in my espresso machine.

"Did you say bye to your friends?" He asks.

"I did last night." I yawn. "Would you like to split the drive? Driving there takes about eight hours."

"You're not going to worry about anything today." He gives me a kiss. "You are going to enjoy our trip and point out every cow we drive past."

His statements make me giggle. "Every single one?"

"Every single one." He gives my nose a quick tap.

Jacob lets me in by opening the car door.

I waited for him to come in as I put on my AirPods.

"If you're tired go to sleep. We have a long way to go." He tells me.

"Okay." I exhale. "I think I might. It's very early."

After a few hours...

The sun was shining on my face as I woke up.

"How's it going?" I ask him. "Do you need me to drive?"

"I'm doing okay." He touches my thigh with his hand. "Don't worry about me."

I straighten my seat and massage my eyes.

I ask him, "How long did I sleep for?"

"Five hours." He answers back.

"Oh my god, I practically slept the whole way."

"How was your sleep, sleeping beauty?"

"Clearly good." Still fixed on the fact I slept most of the car ride, I say.

We still had two and a half hours left.

"The coffee you made was very good." He states.

"Oh thanks." I say, taking a drink of my own.

"So, can I know what are plans are for this weekend or should I just follow the vibe?"

"Let's just follow the vibe." He laughs. "But I do have a ton of fun plans for us."

"I'm excited." I give him a smile.

I thought he was incredibly cute, even if all he was doing was driving.

"You're so handsome." I let out.

"What?" He smiled broadly. "What did you say?" There's his dimple.

"I'm thinking out loud." I redden.

"I wouldn't mind hearing what you think more often." He still has a smile on his face.

"Oh please, you are conscious of this. The entire universe tells you."

"It's much more meaningful coming from you." He states. "I'd prefer hearing you say it any day over some strangers."

"Good answer." I chuckle gently. "Look! Cows." I draw attention to them.

"Told you." Jacob chuckles.

We alternate asking each other questions for the next hour. While some were not particularly deep, others were.

Together, we sang and laughed, savoring the moment.

I get on my phone to watch TikToks while taking a break from talking.

"That's weird." I swipe across my for you page and say.
