When Elinor walked back into the Boarding house with a duffle bag over her shoulder she stopped short at the sight of Damon tying up some guy with chains, wait no, that's Mason Lockwood.

"Why are you chaining up Mason Lockwood?" She asked curiously, giving a small wave to Bonnie who looked at her with wide eyes, surprised to see her in the middle of all this.

"Because he's a werewolf and working with Katherine, and he sold me and Stefan out to your Mom trying to get us killed" Damon said casually as he stepped away from the now chained man.

"And Katherine's the one who killed Care right?" Elinor asked casually, ignoring Bonnie who was looking between her and Damon.

Damon noticed and grinned at Bonnie "Bennet witch meet Forbs witch, Caroline's big sister is a witch too, isn't it great?" he asked sarcastically.

Bonnie glared at him "Yeah, now you don't need me. Like I said the moonstone is in a Well. I've done my part" Bonnie snapped before walking out.

Elinor raised an eyebrow "What's got her so angsty?" She asked as she sat down on the couch, throwing her duffle bag down beside her.

Damon rolled his eyes "She hates me, and vampires, but especially me" he said as he put the fire poker into the flames, letting the tip become red.

"While that doesn't shock me given your colorful personality I'm curious why she hates you so much?" Elinor wanted to know what made Bonnie hate him so damn much given the fact Caroline seems to tolerate his presence after everything he had done to her.

Damon grimaced "Threatened her a few times, made her do a spell that killed her grandma, the whole Caroline thing, the list goes on and on. I don't know why people just can't get over it" he listed off one by one sarcastically, counting with his fingers.

"Well have you apologized for any of it? Have you made a conscious effort to be better and not make the same mistakes?" Elinor asked as if it was obvious, since it was.

Damon was notably silent making her roll her eyes "Mistakes are there to learn from, not be repeated. Until you stop repeating the same shitty mistakes over and over no one's ever going to be able to move on. Why would they if you don't?" She said pointedly, making a lot of sense.

Damon scowled but didn't say anything, he didn't want to get sucked in because she has the same face as his little sister.

Genevieve had always given good advice, even though she was the youngest both Stefan and Damon used to go to her for wisdom when they needed someone to tell them how it was.

It seems her doppelganger has the same wisdom, Damon was reluctant to follow it but he did pack the knowledge and advice away for later.

Elinor waited for a response but Damon didn't seem keen on speaking, though before Damon could say anything Mason woke up and began struggling marking the conversation as officially done.

"Oooohh Someone's feisty" Damon said mockingly as Mason struggled.

Elinor watched as Mason tried to free himself but failed, he only managed to knock his chair back onto the ground as Damon approached him with the burning hot fire poker.

Damon said nothing as he stuck the hot poker into Mason's shoulder, letting it stay there for a moment before pulling away.

"Is there a point to this?" Elinor asked, slightly unsettled at how easy it was for Damon to do that. Though Care had told her the whole reason her mom was in the basement was that Mason tried to get the Salvatore brothers killed.

"Yep, he can be hurt. Good to know, I was worried he'd be some kind of freak beast that can't feel pain" Damon said, his demeanor cold as he looked down at the werewolf before he crouched down and inspected the wound.
