"Genevieve? Is it really you?" Stefan asked shakily, he took a step forward on instinct and hit the barrier.

She smiled sadly and nodded "Yes Stefan it's me, it's a long story and I want to tell it to both you and Damon but I need to know you both won't try and hurt Elijah or any of the Originals again" She said pleadingly, wanting to put this behind them.

Stefan looked unsurely at Elijah "I can't let them kill Elena" Stefan said as he shifted uneasily.

Dela huffed lightly "No one will kill Elena, at least not permanently. I've thought of a few loopholes I could exploit magically to get Elena out of the ritual alive. Those are plan b though, plan A is to siphon the curse" she explained, having already come up with a few backup plans.

She was more than willing to sacrifice another for the doppelganger to live, she had not shied from getting her own hands dirty over the centuries.

"How will you siphon the sun and moon curse?" Stefan asked, not understanding how it would be possible.

Dela snorted, her hand going in front of her face to hide her grin as she shared a look with Elijah "I forgot about that, the sun and moon curse, Nik has no art when it comes to naming things" She said fondly, shaking her head.

"What? Who's Nik?" Stefan asked confused, he couldn't make sense of what was happening. He had never seen Genevieve or Elinor act this way, what had happened to his sweet sister?

"I'm sorry when we made the legends we never expected that one to catch on. I find it very amusing whenever it comes up. No, the sun and the moon curse is a cover for a curse placed on Niklaus that he has been trying to break for one thousand years. Katerina over there was his first attempt and he's been obsessing over getting the next right but we never expected to have what we have now" Adela said, pointing further in the tomb where she knew Katherine was lurking.

Stefan was staring at her gobsmacked while Katherine made her way toward them "You're her, aren't you?" She asked, her voice sounding scratchy from the lack of blood.

"And who are you referring to Katherine? I've gone by many names" Dela asked casually as she leaned against the wall.

Elijah let out a chuckle at her antics causing Katherine to turn to him cautiously before focusing her attention back on who she remembered as Genevieve.

"When I was with him Elijah spoke of a woman his family lost, he used it to explain Klaus's strange behavior. He said that they were waiting for her to return. He probably didn't think I would live to remember" Katherine said cautiously, her eyes glancing at Elijah for a moment.

Dela smirked at the woman, she didn't have fond memories of her as Katherine Pierce but she had a certain respect for the cunning she had displayed over centuries. Unlike Nik she did not resent Katherine for wanting to survive.

"Yes Katerina, that was me. Now while we will be having a chat in a bit I want to speak to my brother for a moment" She said before snapping her neck with her magic, her hand holding the pendant around her neck.

"What the hell?" Stefan asked, taking a step back. He had heard a lot but most of it confused him.

"I'm gonna explain everything Stefan and I promise Elena will be fine but I need your assurance that you will actually hear us out and you won't try to hurt Elijah" She said, knowing even with Stefan's assurance Damon would more than likely try something.

"We won't do anything until after we get a chance to talk" Stefan said carefully. It was the most he was willing to agree to.

Dela nodded and took a step forward putting her hands on the walls and began to siphon the spell on the tomb. She grinned when she felt the magic, it was powerful.
