Dela saw Rose trying to sneak out "You know Damon is more than fine with a casual fling so why are you leaving?" she asked curiously, still lounging on Damon's couch, though it was the Salvatore boarding house and she had once been a Salvatore so...

"Look whatever you all have going on with the Originals? I can't be part of it, the last thing I want is to get back into their bad graces" Rose said awkwardly as she shuffled into the room and away from the exit.

Dela snickered "Don't worry about it, you've shown your willingness to stay out of trouble. I'll make sure Elijah and Klaus don't come for your head" She said casually as she tapped away on her phone, playing solitaire.

"And you have that authority?" Rose asked cautiously, her tone slightly doubtful.

Dela smirked "More than Darling, I'm surprised you didn't hear but then you did run for the hills the night I remembered everything" she said as she glanced up at Rose, not surprised to see recognition on her face. Rose had been the one to recognize her from the painting.

"You're her?" Rose asked as she took a step back, her eyes widening in fear.

"Calm down, yes I'm her but like I just said you're fine. Go if you want but don't leave out of some misplaced fear, I'll make sure my family doesn't come after you. Being honest they never really hunted you to begin with, Nik liked making people run but he never puts in much effort to chase them. Mind you that wouldn't stop someone seeking favor from Niklaus or Elijah by bringing you or your head to them" Dela said casually, she had made her opinions clear to Nik more than a few times.

Personally she believed Nik shouldn't pollute himself by doing the same thing his own father has done to them. Dela would never say as much though, it would break Nik's heart to be compared to his father, especially by her.

Dela had tried to dissuade Klaus from his habit of sending people on the run but she had never pushed that particular button, bringing Mikael up was just a recipe for Nik to go into a spiral of rage and depression.

Rose stood there gobsmacked for a few moments before coughing "I think it's better if I just go, thanks to you I can walk in the daylight and I want to lounge on a beach somewhere" Rose said with a slightly wistful smile.

Dela nodded "I recommend Spain, wonderful beaches" Dela said with a nod, she had fond memories of her time in Spain. She had returned as often as she could throughout the centuries.

Dela had eventually returned to the hotel room and Katherine's endless complaining. She at least had the kindness to pick up some takeout and coffee from the Grill on her way back to the hotel.

"Honestly Katherine will you stop complaining, I'm letting you lounge about in a five star hotel penthouse, there are blood bags in the fridge and a TV. Do you really think Klaus or Elijah would offer such luxuries?" Dela finally snapped after the doppelganger had complained for twenty minutes straight.

She had spent days listening to the woman complain about everything.

Katherine glared at her but eventually huffed "No they wouldn't so why are you? Especially after me and Elijah's history" she asked, her tone slightly mocking but Dela could tell she was actually curious.

"A few reasons really, one, I unlike Niklaus don't blame you for not wanting to have your life sacrificed. Had the situation been reversed I am certain Nik would have done the same, well maybe with less seduction" Dela said as she rolled her eyes.

Katherine didn't say anything so Dela continued "Two, I don't particularly care about whatever fling you had with Elijah. Me and my loves have an understanding when I'm not with them. It seems only fair since I'm living an ignorant human life with lovers, husbands, and children that they are able to fill the ache of my absence with others, but they are temporary" Dela explained simply, knowing her confidence in her relationship was grating on the doppelganger.
