"Promise me you will remain in the carriage until I speak with them Darling, they aren't the same people you remember" Kol said gently as the carriage pulled to a stop.
"I understand Kol, it has just been a long four months of travel and my patience grows thin" she said pointedly, motioning for him to get on with it.
Kol pouted "Did you not enjoy our time together Darling, I certainly enjoyed having you to myself for a few months" he said, his voice going low as a hand ran up her thigh.
She laughed and shook her head fondly "I enjoyed it but I am eager to return to our family, now go so that we can be together once agian" she said, giving him a soft kiss before sending him out of the carriage while she sat and listened.
She smiled softly when she heard the sounds of familiar voices travel to her "Kol, we weren't expecting to see you for another 20 years at least. Please tell me you have not returned after slaughtering another city" Elijah said in greeting to his brother making her frown.
"I was downright tame Elijah, no I came with a surprise. I found something dear to us in England" Kol answered and she could hear the caution in his voice even if he seemed to be joking with his brothers.
"Does it have anything to do with the human still in the carriage? Or did you bring home a snack?" Klaus asked sarcastically, her heart sped up and they probably thought it was from fear but it was excitement.
She couldn't wait to see them all again.
Kol huffed and walked back to the carriage, he opened the door and offered his hand.
She hesitated for a second before taking it and stepping out. She watched as Elijah and Nik both looked at her in disbelief which slowly shifted to reverence and grief.
Elijah took slow steps towards her but she didn't move away as he walked up to her and cupped her cheek "Elskan" he said softly, his eyes watering.
She smiled softly and grabbed his cheek "Hello Elijah" she whispered, not wanting to be too loud and break the energy between them.
"Kol...How?' Elijah asked, turning to his younger brother.
Kol shrugged "I have no clue, when I saw her for the first time it was like before, she stumbled in pain and all of a sudden she remembered me. We will find out the why later, right now I'm just going to enjoy having her back in our lives" he said, looking at her with a gentle smile.
She turned away from them both and towards Nik, he was looking at her as if he didn't believe she was there, didn't trust she was there. When she took a step towards him he took a small step back.
"Nik, I'm here, I know I left you but I'm here now" she said quietly, reaching her hand out for him to take, not wanting to step closer if he did not want her to.
