Chapter 5

After hearing everything from Caroline Elinor was done waiting to be included so first thing in the morning she made her way to the boarding house.

She could hear talking from the library so she made her way there "Okay you have to understand. I only know what I've picked up over the years and I don't know what's true and not true. That's the problem with all this vampire crap but Klaus I know is real" came a woman's voice coming from the direction she was heading, interestingly enough she sounded British.

"Who is he?"

"One of the originals, he's a legend" Came Damon's voice, she thinks he's talking to Elena.

"From the first generation of vampires" Came Stefan's voice. Elinor continued to follow the sounds when she heard Elena ask "Elijah?" as she finally entered the room.

"No, Elijah's the easter bunny compared to Kalus..." The woman who turned out to be a very pretty brunette said, her voice trailing off as she stared at Elinor with wide eyes.

"What are you doing here?" Damon asked, annoyed that she was getting in the middle of things.

Elinor crossed her arms definitely and leaned against a pillar "I'm done being kept out of the loop, you all need adult supervision so here I am. And you are?" She asked towards the woman.

"That's Rose, she kidnapped Elena yesterday to sell to Elijah, an original vampire but we killed him and saved Elena and now she's trying to make us believe that Klaus is coming for her next. Did I miss anything?" Damon said before turning to Rose expectantly only to see her staring at Elinor her expression unchanged, the fear and shock was there plain to see.

"You okay? What's with the look?" Damon asked Rose, not admitting he was mildly concerned.

"I..I'm fine! But she only makes it ten times more likely Klaus will come. The doppelganger is one thing but when me and Trever worked for the Originals they showed us all a painting. They told us that if we ever see the woman in the painting to bring her to them alive and unharmed for a boon" Rose said, stammering at first before she gave Damon a look, trying to convey how important this was.

"And that woman was me?" Elinor asked, a sinking feeling in her gut just like when Stefan showed her the picture of his sister.

When Rose nodded Damon stood up and shook his head "Hold on are you saying the Originals want to kill Elena and Gen-Elinor?" he asked Rose, growing stressed just at the thought of it.

Rose shook her head "No, they made it very clear that any harm done to her would be met with death. The Originals want her safe, she's important to them for some reason" she said, trying to reassure Damon.

Damon let out a laugh as he was anything but reassured "Great, just great!" He said as he threw his hands up in the air.

Elinor rolled her eyes at Damon and turned to Rose "So what? This Klaus guy is coming for me and Elena?" She asked, wanting to know more.

While Rose nodded Stefan shook his head "No, she's probably lying" he said, not wanting them to freak out.

"I'm not lying, Klaus is very real and very powerful. He'll come for the doppelganger to break the curse as soon as word of a Petrova doppelganger gets out. And if word gets out about her? You'll have every Original coming for her" Rose said, settling her eyes on Elinor who swallowed at the idea of the oldest vampires in existence coming for her.

"That's just great, and if you're saying all this so I don't kill you?" Damon asked sarcastically but he was actually very worried.

"I'm not" Rose snapped making Damon grimace "Then we're looking at a solid maybe" Damon said, not happy about it in the slightest.
