"AAAAAHHHHHHHH" A man screamed as she held a hot iron poker to his wound. She had pulled the bullet out and now she needed to cauterize the wound. She ignored it as the man passed out, used to it by now.
When she pulled away the iron she placed it back into the fire, prepared for the next man who would need it.
Napoleon had caught them unprepared, Australia hadn't been expecting an invasion, thier lands were harsh and their population the remnants of a penal colony.
She got up with a tired sigh, wiping her face with the cleanest rag she had as she turned to her next patient when she saw something strange out of the corner of her eye, a man holding one of her patient's wrists to his face.
"Excuse me Sir, what are you doing?" She asked as she approached, concerned for whatever grand ideas the man had about treating wounded men but when the man turned and she met brown eyes she felt lightheaded, a burst of pain in her head.
She blinked a few times, flinching at the sound of canons going off in the background "Elijah?" She asked, confused as she tried to get her baerings. It got easier to receive her memories every time but it would never be pleasant.
"It's alright Elskan, I got you" Elijah said gently, his hand going to her cheek.
"Eileen, are you alright?" Mary, a fellow field medic asked her nervously, glancing at Elijah.
She nodded with a grin making the other woman relax as she turned back to Elijah "I'm perfect" she said with a giddy smile on her face.

"My Lady, are you alright?" the man asked, his eyes wide as he stumbled upon her sitting in the Hull of the ship.
"Oh, I'm fine Sir, just hungry after such a long journey, as are my companions" She said, the others seeing her que began to steal the men who had come, plucking them from thin air and draining them dry.
She had been able to provide enough to keep them from desiccating but everyone had gotten quite hungry over the long journey. Kol and Nik had killed the crew one by one until they spotted land when they finished off the last two.
She ignored the screams and cries, used to them after so long.
It had been several lifetimes with vampires and most recently twelve years in Europe, she had grown beyond used to the bloodshed.
She would temper the worst of it but she knew her family was hungry and had used all the restraint within them not to drain her dry as the days turned to weeks with little blood if they wished for the ship to remain afloat.
"Don't kill that one" Was all she said as she stood. Rebekah pouted but didn't move to kill the man, while Niklause and Elijah normally lead the family her word was never contested.
