##### Chapter 20 Kill the Yakuza Leader
Chocolate's heart beats faster as she rushed out of Yoko's house. She didn't even get to say goodbye to Yuna and Yoko.
The video Toshiro sent to her replayed in Chocolate's mind. Midnight and Dark, battered and helpless, their agony flashed back into her memory. Her team were being tortured, and at that moment her anger was unleashed.
Chocolate went straight to the basement where Toshiro, Mishiko were waiting for her in front of Midnight and Dark while Great Father was sitting on a fancy chair while smoking a cigarette.
Chocolate caught her breath when she saw Midnight and Dark, both bound and weak, cruelty etched on their faces as they were mercilessly punched like punching bags.
" What are you doing? Stop it, Toshiro! " Chocolate's voice erupted in fury as she rushed forward, her fists clenched.
Mishiko stepped in front of her, a smug smile plastered across her face.
" You think you can just waltz in here and rescue them? Pathetic."
Fueled by rage, Chocolate lunged at Mishiko and landed a powerful punch the impact resonated through the room, followed by the sickening sound of flesh meeting flesh. Mishiko staggered backward before crashing into a wall, a spasm of pain flickering across her face.
" I’ve been wanting to do that to you for a long time! " Chocolate spat, her gaze unrelenting as she turned back to Midnight and Dark.
Mishiko, recovering from the hit, snarled and lunged forward. The two erupted into a frenzied fight, blows exchanged rapidly as the scent of blood filled the air. But Chocolate was driven by the intensity of her emotions, her strength giving her the upper hand. In a flurry, she snagged a knife from Mishiko’s belt and held it threateningly against her throat.
" Release Midnight and Dark, or I swear I’ll end this right here! " Chocolate’s voice was unnaturally calm, a stark contrast to the chaos swirling around her.
" Chocolate, wait, " the Great Father’s voice cut through the din as he leaned back, his cigarette smoldering.
" Let’s not escalate this further. It’s not what I want. "
" It’s their fault that they’re being punished, " Toshiro interjected, a manic glint in his eyes.
" Didn’t they tell you we had a mission? They failed us! "
" What do you mean? " Chocolate turned her head slightly, narrowing her eyes at Toshiro.
" They were supposed to kill Don Fernando, but they failed. Now, they must pay the price! " His enthusiasm revealed a twisted sense of justice.
" Where is Bubblegum? Bakit wala s'ya rito? "
" Bakit hindi mo tanungin sina Midnight at Dark kung nasa'n si Bubblegum. "
Tumingin sila sa dalawa ngunit wala nang mga malay ang mga ito kaya naman ngumiti nang nakakaloko si Toshiro.
" Mga kaawa-awang nilalang. Si Bubblegum mas may malaki s'yang kasalanan. Alam mo bang tinulungan n'ya ang mga Detectives na may hawak ng kaso ninyong apat? Hindi ko alam kung ano ang gusto n'yang mangyari at ano ang tumatakbo sa isip n'ya kung bakit n'ya ginawa 'yon. Dahil sa ginawa n'ya, nararapat lang na tumanggap s'ya ng parusa. "
" Hanggang ngayon hindi pa nakikita si Bubblegum, pero ayon sa mga tauhan namin sugatan s'ya, " sabi naman ni Mishiko habang may patalim na nakatutok sa leeg n'ya.
Chocolate was heartbroken, they had been together and known each other for a long time but this was the first time that they had hidden a mission from her. Chocolate knew that they considered her happiness and intentionally kept the mission a secret because they didn't want to disturb her happiness with Yuna. Because of this thought, she slightly loosened her grip on Mishiko.
