UNDERCOVER PART 16

AIAH'S POV 

We're just thirty minutes away from our destination, and we decided last night that we'll go to Bacnotan in LU since gustong gusto ni Loi mag-surfing.


I borrowed my Dad's van para sama-sama lang kami sa isang sasakyan at para tipid din sa gas. Si West yung nagdadrive and sa front passenger seat naman ay si Jhoanna na sapilitang pinaupo ni Stacey.


Sa second row naman ay kami ni Mikhs then sa third ay si Gwen and Sheena at sa last ay si Loi and Stacey.


"So, ano nga sasabihin mo sa 'kin?" biglang bulong ni Mikhs 


"Mamaya na nga. Masyado naman 'tong excited eh" I responded in a low voice, sabay irap sakanya


"Sus, pairap irap kapa diyan. I-kiss kaya kita?" Mikha jokingly said in a loud voice, while playfully pouting her lips and trying to get close to me.


"Shhh. May natutulog, lalandi niyo!"  I heard Sheena uttered


"Gwen kiss mo nga rin kasi yan para manahimik"  saad na pangasar ni Mikhs kay Sheena


As soon as Mikha said those words, I heard my phone's call ringing sound. I quickly grabbed it from my bag and saw that it was a call from Dad.

I answered the call to find out why he was calling.

"Aiah, my princess?" My dad's soft, loving voice came through.

"Yes, Dad?" I replied.

"Meet me at our house once you're back from La Union, okay? I have something to tell you."

"Okay, Dad. I love you," I said.

"Okay, 'nak. Ingat and enjoy kayo. Love you too!" my dad responded before disconnecting the call.


"Was that your Dad?" Mikhs quickly asked upon noticing that the call had already ended.


"The one you saw from the caller display?"  I asked, tumango din si Mikhs as a response


"Oh yes, he's my dad" I answered

Mikhs simply nodded at me and then uttered, "You resemble a mix of your mom and dad," she said.

"Oh really? Others say the same thing," I responded.

She just looked at me and flashed her smile, my favorite smile.

We're already in La Union, and it's almost 6 PM. Stacey, Sheena, and Loi suggested that we set up a bonfire, so Mikhs and Gwen are doing their best para mag-apoy yung mga putol putol na kahoy na hiningi ni West sa resort owner.


"Kaya mo pa ba diyan?" I jokingly asked Mikha


She just nodded in response, so I immediately took her arms and asked, "Are you okay?"

"You've been quiet since we arrived," I added, noting Mikhs' sudden change in mood.

"Yes, of course," she replied with a smile, which relieved me.


"Guys laro tayo nung spin the bottle. Game ba kayo?!" Loi exclaimed, seemingly excited by her idea


"Nakapagdecide ka na, so no choice na kami" agad namang sagot ni Jhoanna sakaniya


"Alam mo West..jowain mo na nga yan si Jhoanna para mabawasan yang pagiging mainitin ng ulo niyan" Loi suggested, talking to West 


Napangiti naman si West sabay sabi, "Huy ano ba kayo! Nakakahiya kay Jho" 

"Sus! Wala naman 'yang hiya hiya na yan eh. Tsaka chance mo na to 'no!" sabat naman ni Stacey na may hawak ng inumin


"Dami mong alam Staku. Atsaka, ano 'yang hawak mo? Nainom kana agad? Ba't bukas na?" sunod sunod naman na tanong ni Jho kay Stacey


"Ang OA mo teh. Binuksan ko lang since magi-spin the bottle daw tayo. Truth or Drink raw eh, nakikinig ka ba?" pamimilosopo namang sagot ni Stacey


After mga sampung minuto, natapos na kaming mag-ayos at nakaready na rin yung bonfire.


Umupo kami ng pabilog para maglaro ng spin the bottle, truth or drink consequence.


"Ayan na ha. Walang limitation 'tong tanungan na 'to kaya ask all you want" Loi explained sabay latag ng bote sa gitna


Pinaikot ni Loi yung bote at unang ikot nito'y natapat agad kay Stacey


"Truth ako. Oh, ano itatanong niyo sa 'kin? Mysterious girl ako pero alam niyo naman na mga kaganapan sa buhay ko HAHAHA" Staks jokingly uttered


"Sus. I have a question" Loi stated while playfully raising her eyebrows


"Go!!" Staks exclaimed


"Na-fall ka ba kay Jhoanna?" Loi asked while smiling na ikinabigla naman ni Stacey.


Napangiti rin ako since alam ko yung sagot sa tanong ni Loi, isa lang naman samin yung 'di nakakaalam and it is Jho.


"Paissue ka naman Ate Loi. 'Di naman yan sa 'kin mafa-fall eh HAHAHAHA" Jho uttered, trying to lighten the mood


"Yes. I fell in love with my bestfriend but naka move on na ako okay?" Stacey answered kaya nabigla si Jho


"Really Staks?!" Jho exclaimed, halatang hindi makapaniwala sa nalaman niya


"Oo nga pero matagal na yun and nakapagmove on na 'ko. Atsaka ano ka ba, andito si West, don't make it awkward for her" saad naman ni Staku kaya napakamot ulo si West


"Okay, next na, next na" Maloi uttered, changing the topic kaya pinaikot naman ni Stacey yung bote at tumapat ito kay Sheena


"Drink" matipid na sagot ni Sheena sabay tawa ng malakas|


"Kung nagdrink kana lang sana Stacey edi sana 'di ka nabuking HAHAHAHAH" Sheena laughingly said, teasing Stacey

God, I'm not sure if this is the right time, but if this bottle points at me, sasagutin ko na si Mikha, and I'm certain of that.


"I-spin mo na nga" Stacey annoyingly responded to Sheena while crossing her arms


Pag-ikot ni Sheena ng bottle ay tumapat naman 'to sa 'kin.


Kanina naiisip ko lang na pag tumapat sa akin, sasagutin ko na si Mikha pero ngayon parang aatras nalang ako. 

The cold sea breeze made me shiver even more, and I felt even more nervous as Mikha started staring at me. Her gaze seemed unfazed.


I'm just hoping na sana hindi about kay Mikha or samin ni Mikha ang itanong nila.


"Excited ka na ba?" Loi playfully asked kaya mas lalo akong kinabahan since siya yung unang nagsalita


Tumango nalang ako since 'di na ko makapagsalita dala ng kaba 


"Are you inlove with Mikha na ba?" tanong ni Loi kaya naramdaman kong mas lalo pa akong tinitigan ni Mikhs dahil katabi ko lang ito

Tumango lang ako nang dahan dahan then I slowly and stutteringly said, "A-actually, I have something to tell you Mikhs" 

As soon as I said those words, I looked at Mikhs, and our gazes met. The connection made me feel fluttered and nervous all at once.


"It's been over a month since you started courting me, and I want to let you know that I'm ready to be your g-girlfriend now." I continued, stuttering


I've been waiting for a response from Mikhs but she's just plainly looking at me emotionless, "Mikhs?" I asked


 The other girls are now also intrigued by what's going on

"I'm sorry, Aiah," she said seriously, then started looking down.

"Mikhs? I don't understand. Why are you sorry?" I asked, feeling a lump in my throat. I didn't know what was happening, but I could feel my tears welling up.

"I'm sorry. I want to stop courting you." She plainly said, looking directly at me


"I don't want to have you as my girlfriend anymore," she added.

I couldn't recognize the Mikha I had fallen in love with. The person standing before me seemed like a stranger. Her smile—the one I cherished—is nowhere to be seen.

Unable to hold back, I began to cry. Tears streamed down my face as I struggled to understand why Mikha had suddenly changed 

Even the other girls couldn't grasp what was happening.

I was at a loss for words as my emotions took over. I had fallen in love with her—bakit ganun? Bakit bigla nalang, ayaw niya na pala?


I watched in stunned silence as Mikha stood up and walked away. West and Gwen quickly followed her, while the other girls moved closer, trying their best to comfort me.


"Tangina talaga yan. Sinasabi ko na nga ba" I heard Jho speak with a hint of anger, her voice sharp as she clenched her fist.


"W-what happened? Does she not want me anymore? Is there something about me that she can't stand para magbago siya nang ganun kabilis? Please tell me para mabago ko, please?"  I pleaded, tears streaming down my face.


"Shh. Calm down Ate Aiah. No, walang mali sayo. Siya yung may problema 'di ikaw" Stacey uttered with her comforting words.

I couldn't help myself but to cry even more. I thought this was gonna be a fun night. I thought that this was going to be our first night as a couple, but turns out I was wrong
