"Congratulations, our Magna Cum Laude!" Sabi ni Mom at Dad.
"Thanks, Mom and Dad." Sabi ko.
"Congrats!" Sabi ni Ate Charlotte.
"Congratulations, I'm so proud of you!" Sabi ni Lucky sabay yakap.
"Thank you, Lucky." Sabi ko.
"You can go ahead na sa car. I'll just take some photos with my friends." Sabi ko.
"Sama 'ko para may taga-picture kayo." Sabi ni Lucky.
"Are you sure?" Tanong ko.
"Oo naman." Sagot n'ya.
Hinawakan ko yung kamay n'ya as we passed by other people.
"We have been looking for you!" Sabi ng kaibigan kong si Abi.
"Everyone, I want you to meet my girlfriend, Maloi." Sabi ko.
"Happy to finally meet you, I'm Abi!" Sabi ni Abi.
Nagpakilala na sila sa isa't-isa.
"I brought my camera so I can take photos." Sabi ni Lucky.
"Smile!" Sabi n'ya.
My circle gathered and took as much photos as we could.
"We better get going na since we have a dinner reservation to catch." Sabi ko.
"Congratulations to us! See you soon." Sabi ko.
"Maloi, you should join us next time!" Sabi ni Ally.
"Sure, sure." Sabi ni Lucky.
"We'll go ahead na. Congratulations to all of you!" Sabi ni Lucky.
Naglakad na kami papuntang car.
"Done?" Tanong ni Ate Charlotte.
"Let's go na, hungry na 'ko." Sabi ko.
"Sa'n pala kayo nagpa-reserve?" Tanong ko.
"Your favorite place malamang." Sabi ni Ate Charlotte.
Hawak ko lang yung kamay ni Lucky.
"I still can't believe I just finished school." Sabi ko.
"Something you couldn't wait to get over with." Sabi n'ya.
"Ah, you know me so well." Sabi ko.
"Malamang, that's all you talked about dati." Sabi n'ya.
"Walang araw na hindi mo sinabi na ayaw mo nang mag-aral." Sabi n'ya.
"But look at you now, naka-graduate na, with latin honors pa!" Sabi n'ya.
"Inspired and motivated ako, e." Sabi ko.
"Hmm, bakit kaya." Sabi n'ya.
Nakarating na rin agad kami agad sa restaurant and to my surprise, the Ricalde family was already waiting for us.
"Congratulations!" The whole family said in unison.
"Halaaaa, thank you po." Sabi ko.
"Hindi ako nag-expect ng anything but thank you for coming." Sabi ko.
"Syempre naman, anak. We want to be here for your celebration." Sabi ni Tita Maggie.
"Thank you po, Tita." Sabi ko.
"Congrats, Ate. Ang regalo namin sa'yo ay si Ate Maloi, iuwi mo na 'yan!" Sabi ni Gracella.
