"Dad, would you tell me more about this Lim family we're meeting later tonight?" Tanong ko.
"Sure, darling." Sabi n'ya.
"John is a friend of mine from high school. He's also into business together with his wife, Myrla. They have three children; Patrice, Enzo, and Mikha." Sabi n'ya.
"You'll like Mikha." Sabi ni n'ya.
"I'm looking forward to seeing them." Sabi ko.
"There's no specific outfit to wear, right?" Tanong ko.
"Wear anything you'd like, baby." Sabi ni Mom.
"Okay, I'll start getting ready. See you later!" Sabi ko.
TIME SKIP
"Looking beautiful as always, darling." Sabi ni Dad.
"Of course, she got it from me." Sabi ni Mom.
"I won't argue with that, honey." Sabi ni Dad.
"Ready to go?" Tanong n'ya.
"Yes" Sagot namin.
Sumakay na kami sa van.
"The youngest, Mikha is the same age as you are." Sabi ni Dad.
"How come we've never met them before?" Tanong ko.
"We lost contact for a while and only recently, John and I saw each other at a business event." Sabi n'ya.
According to Dad, they were really close friends back in high school.
It was nice to hear stories from before and how my parents were like as teenagers.
The drive took longer than usual because of the heavy traffic.
Sinundan ko na lang ang parents ko as we entered the restaurant.
We approached a table which I'm guessing is the Lim family's.
We greeted each other at naupo na.
"This is my wife, Viv," Sabi ni Dad.
"And this is our daughter, Y/N." Sabi ni n'ya.
"Your Dad had told me so much about you, Y/N." Sabi ni Tito John.
"I hope he didn't brag too much." Sabi ko at natawa sila.
Pinakilala n'ya na rin yung asawa at mga anak n'ya.
"And our youngest, Mikha." Sabi n'ya.
The red-haired girl.
"Hi, nice to meet you." Pagbati n'ya tapos nakipag-beso pa ulit.
Ang bango n'ya.
"Same goes to you." Sabi ko.
"Your Dad mentioned you're graduating in a few months, do you have plans after?" Tanong ni Tita Myrla.
"We made a deal po na I'll be taking a year off muna before I start working under our businesses." Sabi ko.
"I'll most likely be traveling and exploring." Sabi ko.
"How about you, Mikha?" Tanong ko.
"I haven't really thought of it." Sabi n'ya.
"But traveling would be fun." Sabi n'ya.
"Oh, please. We don't want Y/N going alone." Sabi ni Mom.
"I'm a strong independent woman, Mom. I'm sure I will be okay." Sabi ko.
