"Off we go! Last thing we need is traffic." Giovanni announces as they walk out of the apartment one by one.

"Where's Desi?" Luigi calls as he walks out with MJ.

"She's with me, figlio." Mia assures.

"Bye, Link!" Luigi calls as he closes the door, then pumps his fist. "To the Adirondacks we go!"

Thankfully, the bumpiest part of the ride is going through the pipes, then packing everything into the waiting moving van in Brooklyn. The drive up is smooth sailing after that.

When they arrive, they see the telltale sign of Villa Roma awaiting them.

Many families are already there, out on the lake or running around on the grass.

When they pull up, they're immediately greeted by the director.

"Mr. Mario! You look like you've been working out!" he says cheerfully.

"Patty!" Giovanni smiles. "Work's been keeping me busy!"

"Mario Family!" Patty greets them as well. "Welcome back to Villa Roma! Our little slice of Italy, up in the Adirondacks. I believe this makes your 30th year coming up here."

"And you'd be right." Giovanni agrees. "Nothing like it all the way up here."

"You'll have all the time in the world to take it in." Patty assures. "Here's who you'll be dropping your kids off with, Kenny!"

"Hello, MJ, Desi!" Kenny says cheerfully. "Time to play! Ready?"

"Yay!" MJ and Desi cheer.

With that, Kenny leads them away, so Patty says, "Whaddaya say we get you all nice and snug?"

With that, the rest of the Mario family follows Patty inside.

"Is it safe to assume you're in need of refreshment, Mr. Mario?" Patty asks as they walk.

"Safest assumption you could've made." Giovanni replies.

"Our signature drink, Villa Roma Michelada." Patty offers as a server brings a tray of them over.

"Been craving one all year." Giovanni says happily as he takes one, then sips. "That's the stuff."

"Mr. Mario." The cottage coordinator walks up. "Your usual cottage near the lake is ready for you. Just need a few forms signed, then it's all yours."

"The three-legged race is all mine." Luigi says to some fellow campers as they leave.

"Luigi!"

"Gabriel?" Luigi smiles, then hugs him. "Glad you're here!"

"How's the twins doing?" Gabriel asks.

"Still got all their limbs intact." Luigi jokes.

"And how far along are you?" Gabriel asks.

"With what?" Luigi asks, confused.

"With her ." Gabriel emphasizes.

"You mean Destiny?" Luigi's still confused, and Gabriel rolling his eyes does nothing to help.

"Uh, it might as well have just happened, and we're still talking." Luigi tries to say. "She's coming up later."

"Oh yeah?" Gabriel asks, like that's surprising.

"Why wouldn't she?" Luigi points out.

"I think a better question is why would she?" Gabriel says.

"MJ and Desi are her kids too." Luigi reminds him, like Gabriel's hard of hearing. "And last I checked, she still wants to spend time with them. So she's gonna commute back and forth the entire summer."

"Ain't that something?" Gabriel says. "Guess I'll see you and your dad at the barber?"

"Count on it." Mia assures. "See you later, Gabriel."

As he leaves, Mia sighs. "Should've known no one was gonna let it be."

"Alright!" Patty claps his hands. "Now that you're all registered, let me introduce you to your cabin boy."

"I already know Timmy, Patty." Giovanni reminds him.

"It's not Timmy. " Patty says as a boy walks up. "This is Michael. One of our best."

"Where's Timmy?" Giovanni doesn't understand.

"Darndest thing. Apparently there was a mistake in the paperwork and Timmy got the internship after all!" Patty says.

"Wow, that's...great." Giovanni says slowly.
