Yagyhavi's pov:

Tuck, tuck, tuck!

I heard a sudden faint sound, which stirred me from my sleep.

I opened my eyes for a moment, trying to figure out if it was real or just my imagination.

I waited for a few seconds but heard nothing, so I went back to sleep, thinking it must have been in my head.

Just as I was drifting off, I heard the sound again.

Tuck, tuck!!!

I immediately opened my eyes and sat up in bed, my sleepiness gone.

I was alone in the house, and this time, I was sure it wasn't my imagination—I had definitely heard something.

I sat in silence for a moment, trying to figure out where the sound was coming from.

As I focused, I heard it again and turned to my left, towards the window.

The sound was coming from that direction.

I stared at the window, my heart beginning to race.

The sound was faint but persistent, like someone lightly tapping against the glass.

"Tuck, tuck, tuck," the sound came again.

A chill ran down my spine as I realized that someone was outside.

Gathering my courage, I slowly slid off the bed, careful not to make any noise.

My feet felt cold against the floor as I approached the window.

The curtains were half opened, already.

The room felt unusually quiet, amplifying the sound of my own heartbeat as I hesitated before finally pulling back the curtain completely.

Without opening the window, I pressed my face against the glass, trying to see through, to the balcony outside.

In the dim light of the night, I could just make out a shadowy figure.

My breath caught in my throat as I squinted, trying to see who it was.

And then, my heart nearly stopped when I recognized the familiar face.

It was Samar.

What on earth was he doing here? And at this hour?

I saw him looking at me through the window, his face barely visible in the dim light.

"What are you doing here?" I asked, my voice filled with confusion.

He furrowed his brow, clearly not understanding.

"What are you doing here?" I repeated, this time adding hand gestures to emphasize my question.

That's when I saw the look of realization cross his face.

He then, started gesturing with his hands.

His finger moved toward his ear, then he shook his fingers and then his fingers motioned from up to down.

Oh! He couldn't hear me from outside and he was signaling for me to open the window.

I quickly unlocked and opened the window, feeling a rush of cool air hit my face.
