Just a small heads-up! 🙌🏻

This chapter is quite long, with more than 8,000 words. So, please take your time to read it comfortably when you have enough time.

Also, there’s no vote target for this chapter because I genuinely want to see how many votes you all can give it without me setting a specific target! 😊👍🏻

Yagyhavi's pov:

I walked across the room, my steps steady and purposeful, the boldness Devyani and Kashish had encouraged buzzing in my veins.

My eyes were fixed on Samar, who was still engaged in conversation with Meera. Her laugh echoed in my ears, grating on my nerves, but I kept my composure.

As I reached them, Samar noticed me first. His eyes widened slightly, probably picking up on the determined look on my face.

Meera turned to look at me too, her smile faltering as she saw the intensity in my gaze.

Without missing a beat, I placed my hand on Samar's arm, my fingers lightly gripping his sleeve.

"Excuse me," I said, my voice calm but firm, "mind if I steal my man for a dance?"

Samar blinked in surprise, his lips curving into a slight smirk as if he was both amused and intrigued.

Meera, on the other hand, looked startled. Her eyes darted between Samar and me, clearly not expecting this turn of events.

Before either of them could respond, I smiled sweetly at Meera, though my words were anything but sugar-coated.

"I'm sure you understand, Meera. After all, it's not every day I get to have him all to myself."

Samar's smirk deepened, and I could see the glint of amusement in his eyes, by seeing this side of mine.

Meera opened her mouth to say something but quickly shut it again, clearly unsure of how to respond.

Taking Samar's hand in mine, I turned to him and said, "Shall we?"

My tone was lighter now, but the message was clear; I wasn't asking; I was telling.

He chuckled softly, his eyes locking with mine. "Lead the way, my lady," he said, his voice low and warm, clearly enjoying this unexpected boldness.

As we walked to the dance floor, I could feel the curious stares of people around us, but I didn't care. All that mattered was the man beside me, who was now looking at me with a mix of surprise and adoreness.

The music was slow, romantic, and as Samar placed his hands on my waist, pulling me closer, I felt the tension from earlier melt away.

He tilted his head, his grin widening.

"Well, that was... unexpected," he said, his voice laced with humor.

I rolled my eyes, though a small smile tugged at my lips, "She was flirting with you, Samar. Don't pretend you didn't notice."

He chuckled, pulling me closer as the music swayed around us.

"I noticed," he admitted, his eyes twinkling. "But I didn't think it bothered you this much."

"It didn't," I said quickly, though my tone betrayed me. "I just... I didn't like the way she was acting, okay?"

His laughter rumbled softly as he shook his head.
