"I want you too Sydney," Colton said, stepping back and letting out a frustrated exhale as he ran both of his hands over his face and then up through his hair. "But I'm not trying to rush into something you're not ready for, plus you've been drinking."
"Yeah, but I'm not drunk anymore. Our conversation sobered me up."
"That's not how that works," he laughed. "The only thing that can sober you up is time. I don't wanna do anything tonight that you'll regret tomorrow."
"I won't. I know what I want Colton. I want you, and I swear I won't regret it tomorrow. I promise."
He looked down into my eyes, thinking.
"How about we date for two weeks, for real this time, and then if you still want to at the end of the two weeks we can?"
"Two weeks?!" I said in shock. "That's a long time! What if you change your mind and don't want to anymore?"
He laughed and said with a smile, "Yeah, that's not gonna happen. I promise."
I took a deep breath in and let it out before saying, "Fine, but will you at least sleep in here and hold me tonight? I really don't feel like being alone."
"Yeah, but you should probably go wash off all that makeup and take out your contacts first."
"Yeah, that's a good idea," I nodded, before walking into the attached bathroom and doing exactly that. My contacts were dailies, and I had a lot more pairs out in my car anyway, so I just threw them away.
"Don't forget to drink some water too or you'll regret it in the morning," he called out.
"Yes Dad!" I yelled sarcastically, rolling my eyes.
"Hey! You can call me Daddy, but not Dad," he called out.
"Ewww. That's so cringe Colton. I will NOT be calling you Daddy, just so you know," I laughed.
He popped his head into the bathroom and said, "We'll see about that," with a smirk, kissing the side of my head and then smacking my butt before going back to the bedroom. I really liked this playful, flirty side of him.
I washed my face, scrubbing hard with soap to get the thick makeup off and then cupped my hands under the faucet since I didn't have a cup, drinking as much water as I could, before drying my face and hands off on a towel and finally going back out to the bedroom, flipping the bathroom light off on my way.
"Well the makeup and contacts are gone. I'm back to the ugly old Sydney Ryan again," I said with a sigh.
"You're not even close to ugly. Don't say that," Colton told me.
"Yes I am, but I'm planning to buy the makeup Akari used on me today and some more contacts with the fifty grand I'll be getting from the sale of my grandparents' house. I figured I could use just a little bit of the money to treat myself. The rest of it's going into savings for college."
Colton said, "That's a good idea." Then he looked me up and down and asked, "What are you gonna sleep in? You can't wear that dress to bed. That'd be really uncomfortable."
I looked around the room and said, "Well, I don't really have a choice. Do you see anything else here for me to wear?"
He thought for a second before grabbing the bottom of his t-shirt and pulling it up over his head, revealing his six pack abs and strong, tan chest and arms. My breath caught in my throat as I took in the sight in front of me.
"Here, you can wear my t-shirt. I always just sleep in my boxer-briefs anyway," he said, holding it out to me.
Seeing him without his shirt on had me flustered and it took me a few seconds to snap out of the trance I was under so I could take the shirt he was holding out to me. As soon as it was in my hands, I could smell his cologne on it and it smelled so good I couldn't wait to put it on.
