"That's not the kind of thing you joke around about," John Anderson said angrily.

Takashi scoffed. "Who's joking? I wouldn't say it if it wasn't true, and you and I both know it is."

John took a couple steps forward, coming nose to nose with Takashi and glaring down at him. "You better be careful," he growled. "Somebody could really get hurt throwing around accusations like that."

"Who's gonna hurt me? You?" Takashi laughed, looking around at the people standing by him that started laughing too. Then he looked back at John and said, "I'd REALLY love to see you try."

John Anderson narrowed his eyes at him and said, "I don't try. I do, and after I kick your ass, I don't wanna hear another word about me being a rapist. YOU GOT THAT PRETTY BOY?!" he shouted, punching his fist down onto the table right next to Takashi.

Takashi watched with an amused look on his face, without flinching. "Wow. You REALLY showed that table who's boss didn't you?" he asked sarcastically, before leaning in close and saying quietly, "But just so you know Hulk, you kickin' my ass, that's not gonna happen. You may have bigger muscles than me, but that doesn't mean you know shit about fighting."

A creepy smirk appeared on John Anderson's face as he towered over Takashi. "I know a lot more about it than you think. Come outside and I'll show you. I mean, unless you're too worried about messing up that pretty face of yours," he said with a laugh.

Takashi scoffed. "After you meathead," he told him, gesturing towards the exit door.

John Anderson turned and lumbered towards it, strutting with his broad shoulders and massive arms flexed and swaying back and forth. He was followed by Takashi and then everyone else from our table got up and hurried after them, afraid they were going to miss something. They all looked excited. I wondered if I was the only one that was worried for Takashi.

I looked over at Colton and he reached out and slipped his hand into mine before leading the way outside. The sun had set already so it was really dark.

I stopped walking and turned to Colton, waiting for everyone to pass by us before whispering, "You need to do something. You have to stop this fight. If you tell them not to, they'll listen to you. Everyone always listens to you."

"It'll be fine Syd. Don't worry," Colton whispered to me.

"How's it gonna be fine?" I whispered back, looking over my shoulder to make sure no one was listening in. "Have you seen the size of that guy? He's like 6'5 and built like a freakin' semi-truck! Takashi's crazy for wanting to fight him."

Colton laughed, looking down at me with a smile. "You've never seen Takashi fight, have you?"

"No. Why?"

"Trust me. He'll be fine. You have nothing to worry about."

I really hoped he was right.

As we started walking again, I noticed Colton's friends had gotten into their cars and trucks and drove them over to the big open field next to Pizza King, making a circle with them and shining their headlights to light up the grassy area in the middle. It was obvious that this was a common thing because everyone already knew exactly what to do.

Other cars were pulling in from the street and a pretty big crowd was already forming. Word must have spread fast that there was about to be a fight. Colton and I sat down on the tailgate of his friend's truck and everyone sitting around us looked excited, waiting to see what would happen as they pulled out their phones and started recording.

A couple minutes later Takashi and John Anderson walked into the middle of the circle and came face to face with their fists up. Seeing them out there side by side, it became even more obvious how much larger John was. He looked like he could pick up a tree and snap it in half over his knee. Takashi was 6'0 and muscular, but standing nose to nose with John made him look like a child.
