Detroit, MI:

Ben who was still up watching TV even though all the kids except for his were asleep. "Son?" Ben said looking over at Benny.

"Yeah dad?" He said not taking his eyes off of the spiderman movie they were watching.

"Y'all like Ambrose?" He asked them both. Both Dylan and Benny nodded, "What if he were to be more involved in y'all lives, would y'all be okay with that?"

"Ambrose is the best, I want him around more." Dylan replied.

"Yeah he cool I wouldn't mind." Benny added.

"What y'all think Aries think?"

"Aries always brags about Ambrose being her real dad I don't think she minds much." Benny replied.

"Well if y'all like him, then I do too." He said, he laid his head back staring back at the TV. Though he was staring at the TV he wasn't paying much attention, his mind just kept drifting to Isabella. He could envision her perfectly, he missed her so much. He didn't know how he would get over her, he was the best thing that'd ever happened to him. He picked his phone up deciding to text her, and tell her how he was feeling.

Hey, wyd? (9:33PM)

Wifey: Nothing, you okay? (9:34PM)

No, how am I supposed to get over you...(9:34PM)

He sat his phone down facing up so he could see exactly when she texted back, but she didn't respond as fast as he would've liked. He couldn't help but to wonder what she was really doing? How was it easy for her to move on like this? His heart hurt, and he wanted to hate her so much but his heart wouldn't allow him to. He sighed picking his phone back up unlocking it.

You must be busy? (9:35PM)

He sat his phone down with the message thread open, hoping to get a response, but he didn't. He didn't want to put his emotions on her, but she was his best friend, and he wanted to talk to her. He knew he fucked up making her choose early, he was regretting that decision. Though she signed the divorce papers he didn't, he didn't know what more he needed to believe it was over. How would he look just giving up on his wife? The woman he's been with 16 years? He didn't even know how to jump back out there, he honestly didn't want to.

When he looked up, both of his sons had fallen asleep leaving him up alone. He sighed looking back down at the phone, he'd hoped for a text from her but there was nothing, an hour had gone by, and Netflix had randomly started another show. He had no idea what was on TV at this point it was just white noise, something that only helped him think, what could she be doing right now? Ambrose had a game in New York tomorrow, he should be gone right? He sighed picking his phone up deciding to send another message, he typed and deleted so many times he couldn't decide on what to say. He sat his phone back down debating on what to text her. There were so many things that crossed his mind, but he decided on the truth. He picked his phone up, he couldn't fight the urge to cry. His vision blurred as he typed out his message, he kept it short and to the point.
