Detroit, MI:
Isabella sat at home in her living room alone, she'd had the game on. She watched as Ambrose blocked Lebron's shot, and grabbed the rebound he passed the ball out to Cade, the game was tied and there was only 15 seconds left in the game.
"Cade and Ambrose aka Thor and The Hulk have been making things happen for Detroit, Cade Cunningham has 30 assist he has a chance now to break Scott Skiles 1990s record of 30 assist right now." He said as Cade stopped at the top of the key, Jaden set a pick on Anthony Davis. Ambrose cut out to the 3 corner he was wide open. Cade passed him the ball and he'd shot the ball before anyone could close in on him, the buzzer went off a few seconds after he'd released the ball. He'd made the 3 point shot, and the whole arena went crazy. Izzy smiled seeing how serious Ambrose's face was as his teammates all pushed him excitedly. She could see his arrogance radiating off of him as he stole Lebron's celebratory move crowning himself the king.
When he was approached by cameras and microphones on the court he tried waving them off, he and Cade had ran and and jumped up bumping into each other. He may not have been a media favorite but he was starting to understand the meaning of being a team and the importance behind it. Though Detroit was labeled the worst team in history, Ambrose didn't feel like the weight of the world was on his shoulders here in this franchise, it felt nice to spread the work. When the cameras approached him again he and Cade was standing side by side, "Cade you got 31 assist tonight, how does it feel to be in the record books?" The reporter asked before sticking the microphone in his face.
"It's simple you always feed the big guy." He said.
"Hulk Hungry!" Ambrose growled into the mic making the reporter laugh.
"Ambrose, this is the first time you've spoken to media since last season, everyone wants the answer to the million dollar question why did you trade to Detroit so suddenly?" She'd asked and she'd put the microphone up to his mouth waiting diligently for a response.
"I had some unfinished business here in Detroit, it was only right." He replied.
"Ambrose do you think you guys will win a ring this year? This franchise hasn't had a championship banner since 2004."
"We getting a champ, ain't you heard? I'm the king now." Ambrose said and Cade laughed playfully hitting his chest as they backed away from the reporter. You could see Ambrose going courtside dapping Dylan and Benny up, and kissing Aries on her forehead before embracing her in a huge hug.
Izzy hated that she would have to ruin things with his mother especially after they'd agreed to put the past behind them and try to work on a healthy mother-son relationship. So she sat anxiously for 2 more hours, and Ambrose came through the door with his gym bag on his shoulder. "Hey babe, kids over at Ben's." He said, he sat his bag down by the front door, and kicked his shoes off before joining her on the couch. She sat up picking the remote up turning the TV off, "You okay?" He asked.
"I have to tell you something." She said and he didn't like the sound of that.
