Detroit, MI:

"Good work today Ben, do you mind staying after a little late? There's some things I'll need help with." His new boss William asked.

"Sorry boss man, my daughter's prom is tonight we got a lil send off we doing and I can't miss it." Ben replied shaking his hand. "Look I can swing by early in the morning before her state championship game get a few hours in."

"Wow your daughter sounds wonderful."

"She is." Ben replied smiling, he loved his kids. He hated that he couldn't get his shit together sooner, he'd lost the love of his life, but they'd raised amazing kids and for that he would always be grateful.

"Well enjoy your family, and I'll see you first thing in the morning."

"Sounds good Will." Ben replied before he picked his briefcase up, Will had exited Ben's office. Ben used his key to unlock his top drawer. He sighed reluctantly picking up the papers that sat on top of everything else. He closed and locked the drawer back and slipped the papers into his briefcase.

He'd pondered for the last few weeks on what he wanted to do, he could keep fighting and possibly win Isabella back, but he knew in his heart he had to let her go. He'd helped her move her things into her new home across the street due to Ambrose's first few home games were on the road, it'd be about 3 weeks before they would see him again, and Ben had hoped that would give him some type of opening. It only seemed to bring Isabella and Ambrose closer, she still stayed at Ambrose's when he left, and this was before he helped her move into her own spot. Whenever she came to get the kids she was on facetime with him, at Aries games he was on Facetime so he could watch, he was still everywhere Ben looked up. He'd even gotten Dylan a spot in the dance routine that would be taking place the first home game coming up in a few weeks.

Over the past few weeks Ben had came to realize, this was Isabella's life, those were her friends, Detroit was her world and he was just living in it. He felt so out of place being without her, it was like he was on the outside looking in and it didn't feel good. So when he pulled into Isabella's driveway, he had his briefcase in his hand as he knocked on her door. Within a few seconds the door opened and there Isabella was, on facetime with Ambrose. "Hey, what's going on?" She asked greeting him.

"I just needed to talk to you." He said.

"Okay, hey Brose let me call you back."

"Alright but hurry up you know I got practice." He replied and she rolled her eyes with a slight smile before she disconnected the facetime call. She stepped to the side letting Ben in and he walked in closing the door behind him.

"You okay?" She asked.

"Look, I know it's over between us, you're in love with Ambrose." Ben said as he sat on the couch, and Izzy knew exactly what this was about. She took a seat next to him and she didn't say anything, she knew the truth would hurt him, but she refused to lie to him, so she just didn't say anything. "He's been gone for about 3 weeks and I still can't get any time. I just want a chance Izzy, and I can't even get a few seconds of your time."
