Isabella entered the county jail seeing Detective Tanner the minute she walked in, "What's going on?" She asked as she approached him.
"Amber Marvel gave me an NDA involving one of your close friends, Tory Harris?" He asked, and Isabella raised an eyebrow. "So you didn't know?"
"Know about Tory and a NDA? No I'm pretty sure she wouldn't sign one of those without me and Monica looking at it."
"Well, you guys were like 14 when she and her parents signed this. That poor girl was raped and beat up badly by Darius Marvel, there's also some other personal info that isn't pertinent to the case, but if you can get a judge to let this in as evidence just to prove pattern I think you guys got a strong chance at winning this. We need to talk to Darius, he said he'll only talk to you." He said handing over the file.
"Why did she turn this over now?" Isabella asked, she knew Ambrose was the reason, but she had to play like she didn't know so there wasn't a chance Tory was sued.
"She said she didn't protect her son, she wouldn't do her grand daughter that way which got me asking other questions, but I also told myself that I'll mind my business." He said. "You know I got your back counselor, no matter what I got your back." He said like he was hinting at something and Isabella sighed. Tanner was her partner in crime on this side of things and she wanted to tell him about Miguel, and she took in what Ben said, but she was too stressed to try to do this alone. She needed Tanner.
"Miguel threatened to do something if I didn't do a favor for him, I think he produced Daniel's body to try to make it look like I had something to do with it." She mumbled to him, and he looked around to make sure no one was around before waving for her to follow him. They stepped out in front of the county jail.
"What the hell Isabella, you should have told me I could have made this all go away."
"I wanted to but Ben said it would be too dangerous for you-"
"Look, you and your family need to get the hell out of town. You need to put in a leave of absence lie and say you're pregnant if you have to. We arrested Miguel 2 days ago, he's going to have people at your house and at anybody you care about houses, people will die. Go now Izzy." He spoke sternly.
"I'm not letting this man run me out of anywhere-"
"Hey listen to me, this shit ain't no joke-"
"Would it make you feel better to put cops outside my house? I'm sorry Tanner but I can't just ask my friends to pack up their kids and just go out of town. My kids have lives-"
"And you're not hearing me, if you don't do whatever it is he wants you just decided to die. He's not giving you any other options, and now he's locked up for the bullshit he just tried to pin on you? Yeah I'm sure he's pretty damn pissed, come on I'm taking you home, you're going to pack and we'll make our way around to everyone." He instructed.
