Chapter 32: Next Chapter Pt. 1

Detroit, MI:

Ambrose woke up to Isabella's front door being opened, he jumped up ready for whatever, but it was only Isabella. He sat back down letting out a breath he didn't know he was holding his chest, Izzy side eyed him as she closed and locked her front door. "You okay Bubba?" She asked as he laid back down on the couch, she sat her briefcase down on the table.

"Man Ben did some ole Batman ass shit bae, he was getting jumped, I go help and boom all them damn dudes is dead." Ambrose explained as Isabella straddled his waist. "I been sitting right here all damn day waiting for dude to come back, bae his car still ain't back." 

"Ambrose, I've only been gone for 3 hours. He couldn't have been gone all day." She said chuckling and he scratched his head. 

"Oh." He said making her chuckle turn into a hard laugh. "Well shit point being, that nigga still ain't back." 

"9 times out of 10 he's home. You see how all the blinds and curtains are open?" She asked, and he nodded sitting up on his elbows looking across the street at Ben's house. "All the lights are on, and he probably got rid of the car if that's what he used to get rid of the bodies and he reported it stolen. He's probably sitting up in the attic where the small window is up there where nobody can see into watching everything that moves." 

"How do you know that?" He asked reverting his attention to her. 

"I know Ben, there was a few times in college when we first got our place he did it. He could stay up for 9 days straight, sleep for 2 hours and be right back up. You know how many times he sent me and Aries to my parents house when shit got bad for him?" 

"Damn that shit crazy." Ambrose said folding his arms behind his head as he laid back. "Imma have to pick his brain one of these days."

"I went to see Darius.."

"You did what?"

"I had to for Tanner he wouldn't talk. and honestly he only wanted to talk to me to taunt me. He said he should be the one with me, and was telling me how he loved me, and then said what he did to Tory was my fault, and what he was about to do to Aries was my fault too."

"So his stupid ass snitched on his damn self?"

"I don't even think his crazy ass realized that at the time. Once he said what was needed I left, but something is wrong with him. It always has been, and instead of getting that boy some help, Anna profited off of it and buried it. At least your mom stepped up but damn the whole situation on every end is sick, and your dad is so fucked up for creating a broken home for Darius and Dean, he's so fucked up for treating your mother the way that he did, and honestly the way he did you was the worse. I'm not saying your mother isn't responsible because she is, I'm just saying I can't imagine living with a man like him I would do everything I could to stay away too. She should have left and created a safe home for you, she let him run you into the ground because she didn't wanna be ran into the ground. She never sacrificed for you, she put herself first but so did every adult in that family along with Tory's parents."
