Detroit, MI:
Lilah stopped in front of Isabella's office and knocked on the door, "Come in!" Izzy called out, and Lilah opened the door.
"Still no luck with reaching Sheila, but Zach says he has eyes on her and he will let us know where she is tomorrow so that you can talk to her. I've talked to all the companies and corresponded each missing deposit with each contract. I have each company getting back to me tomorrow about if any of the checks were cashed, and I have a motion ready to be filed with the courts to demand that Sheila file a detailed account showing how Ambrose's money was spent and deposited, I'll get that filed after I go talk to Maxine tomorrow." Lilah replied and Isabella nodded.
"Thank you Lilah, go ahead and get outta here I can handle it from here." Isabella said, "Enjoy your night with Justin." She teased.
"How'd you know?"
"He asked if you could get off early so he can see you."
"Okay let me get out of here I just wanna lay under him." She replied excitedly, and Izzy found it adorable.
"Lilah be careful, okay?"
"I will, I know he's married and all, but I think that once the divorce is finalized I wanna make things official with him." She replied.
"Okay, just make sure you both are being careful." She said, before Lilah could respond Bryan appeared in the doorway.
"You texted?" Bryan asked Izzy.
"Yes, we have a few runs to make." Isabella said to him and he nodded.
"Lilah are you about to head out? I can have one the guards walk you to your car?" He suggested.
"No I'm okay, thank you though. I will see you guys tomorrow." Lilah said exiting Isabella's office.
"Where we going?" Bryan asked crossing his arms over his chest as Isabella stood up filling her briefcase with files she would need to look at later while she was home.
"I'm going to put my hands on someone, I need you there to make sure I don't kill her." Isabella replied with a smile, and Bryan raised an eyebrow.
"Everything cool, you want me to just handle it?" Bryan asked.
"No, this is about Ambrose, and I want her to know that while I am professional I don't mind going back to my roots." Isabella replied as she pulled her jacket on. Bryan picked up her briefcase while she dialed a number placing the phone on speaker.
"Hey Bell-"
"Zach don't call me that." Isabella spoke sternly.
"I apologize, I just heard Ambrose call you that and thought it was cool."
"He would kill you if he knew you called me that." Isabella replied chuckling. "Where's Sheila at this moment?"
"I got her right here on the patio at Mike's Fine Dining with what looks like a potential client."
"Great, I'll be there soon." Isabella said before she hung the phone up. "You know where Mike's is?"
"Yeah, 10 minutes down the road." Bryan responded.
"Good you're driving these heels are killing my feet." She said tossing him her keys.
Bryan drove smoothly through the city streets, the evening traffic a quiet hum around them. Isabella's thoughts were focused on the confrontation ahead. Isabella was tired of being tested, people taking her kindness for weakness, and she could deal with a lot but when people mess with her man she's a different person. She turned into an overprotective person when anyone attempted to hurt him.
