Detroit, MI:
"As we get closer to the start of the new season a lot of us are still asking why did Ambrose Marvel trade?" Rico asked.
"The guy probably wanna just ball for his hometown one time for the one time." Russell said slightly shrugging his shoulders.
"I doubt it, it's something bigger going on and TMZ need to come on and find out TheShadeRoom somebody!" Tyrone objected.
Ambrose turned the TV off going back over to his window peeping out, his house was still surrounded by cameras. Everyone wanted to know why Ambrose Marvel asked to be traded to the worst team in the NBA. Was this just another one of his arrogant moves? Or was there more to the story? "Ambrose what are you going to do about this? I can't keep hopping the fence in the morning." Aries said as she came in through his back door.
"They just being nosey." He responded.
"Yeah, I know, mom hates it. She and dad are already going through whatever it is they're going through and her getting surrounded by camera men every morning ain't doing nothing but pissing her off."
"Yeah, I seen the feds raiding the house not too long ago, you didn't hear that from me though." Ambrose spoke as he watched cameras flash from his window.
"Wait feds? At our house?"
"Yeah, yo mama is a good girl, wouldn't know how to rob a bank even if the police told her they would let her go. So, I assume Ben is in some shit."
"That's why he's just on the couch drinking all day and night? And why he don't even come to family game nights anymore?"
"I don't know but I do know something is off." Ambrose said as he watched Isabella shout at a camera guy before she made her way up Ambrose's driveway and once, she reached the front door he opened the door for her.
"Is Aries here?" She asked and he nodded, stepping to the side letting her in, once she stepped in he closed the door behind her. "I will be at your game after half time, okay? And here you left your phone." Isabella pulled her phone out of her pocket, handing it over to Aries. "And please let me know what dress you want designed for prom; I have to get that stuff paid for so you can be prepared."
"I want to help." Ambrose said excitedly. "I remember our prom night." He announced and Isabella did too.
"Do you have pictures?" Aries asked interested.
"Your father's mother has every single picture your father and I ever took together. You know that picture that's sitting on the hallway table when we first walk in the house? The one with the teenagers in matching Christmas pajamas?" Izzy asked as she sat next to Aries on the couch.
"I love that picture." Aries spoke with a smile.
