Later, it was night, and the match between Daniel and Johnny on the sparring deck at the back of the Miyagi-Do dojo was about to start. "I wonder where Julia and Hawk are? They're gonna miss all the action!" Clara said.
"They're probably running late. Clara and I will record it incase they miss it." Jesse, Clara's boyfriend, answered. He and Clara took out their phones to record the match that they planned on posting on Instagram.
"He's here, he's here!" Chris announced as Johnny walked past the Miyagi-Fang studio and onto the sparring deck, where Daniel, who was wearing a Miyagi-Do uniform, was waiting for Johnny.
"Anything you wanna say to the camera, Sensei Lawrence? Anything you wanna say before the fight? Sensei Lawrence, anything you wanna say?" Chris asked. He held a selfie stick with his phone, since he was planning on recording the fight and was planning on giving commentary.
"What are all the kids doing here?" Johnny asked.
"That's what happens when you broadcast your life all over social media." Daniel said.
"Alright look, maybe there's a better way." Johnny started to reconsider fighting.
"There is. You just won't admit it." Daniel said.
"Don't you ever think you might be wrong about anything?" Johnny asked.
"What are we doing here? Wanna rehash your baseless argument from last night in front of these kids?" Daniel countered.
"No. I want what's best for them." Johnny reminded.
"What's best for them is Miyagi-Do." Daniel insisted. "If fighting you is the only way I can get there, let's just get this done."
"All right, LaRusso. Let's finish this." Johnny was ready to fight.
"Face us, bow." Katie instructed. She and Sam were holding red and white flags, and the two senseis bowed to their daughters. "Face each other." Sam instructed. "Bow." The two senseis bowed to each other. "Ready!" Katie announced. "Fight!" Sam yelled, and Jesse, Clara, and Chris started recording, and the senseis started fighting. Johnny started running towards Daniel, and sending him kick after kick, which Daniel blocked until Johnny sent a kick towards his head. Daniel blocked it but when Johnny noticed he was vulnerable, he punched him in the gut.
"Point, Lawrence." Sam raised the red flag. "Sensei Lawrence strikes first." Chris yelled. "True to the motto painted on his former dojo wall, and covered into his very being." Penis Breath announced and Chris gave him a look. "What? I'm trying to capture the spirit of the thing." Penis Breath said.
"Score 1-0. Lawrence." Katie yelled and Daniel and Johnny got into fighting positions. "Ready, fight!"
This time, Daniel was sending moves to Johnny, those he dodged or blocked them with ease. However, he soon sent a kick to Johnny.
"Point, LaRusso." Katie waved the white flag. "LaRusso and Lawrence are now tied, at 1-1." Katie yelled. "Ready, fight!" Sam yelled as she and Katie swung the flags.
The senseis were now in fighting positions, and soon Johnny started to become more aggressive as he sent Daniel punches and kicks. But when Johnny was about to kick Daniel, he grabbed Johnny's leg and kicked him in the stomach.
"Hell yeah! 2-1. LaRusso takes the lead!" Chris announced and Penis Breath added, "All he has to do is score one more point and LaRusso is the winner."
"Score is 2-1 LaRusso." Katie said and Daniel and Johnny got back into their fighting position. "Ready!" Katie said, and Daniel was warming up by quickly practicing arm movements. "Fight!" Sam yelled as she and Katie waved the flags.
Johnny now send a flurry of punches to Daniel, but he managed to block them before sending two punches to Johnny's arm. "What the hell, man?" Johnny muttered, and he sent two kicks, but on the second kick, he and Daniel fell to the ground. "Point Lawrence." Katie yelled as she raised the red flag. After the senseis got up, Johnny asked sarcastically, "Got anymore dirty tricks up your sleeve?"
"I'm not the one who fights dirty." Daniel chuckled sarcastically.
"LaRusso and Lawrence are now tied again, and the score is 2-2. Whoever scores the next points wins! Ready?" Katie said.
"Fight!" Sam and Katie wave the flags. It was now at this point that Johnny was at his most aggressive. He lunged at Daniel with a kick, but he dodged it and flinged Johnny to the mat, Johnny tried the sweep-the-leg technique on Daniel, but that was futile. He then shoved Daniel and sent him a kick, but Daniel dodged it easily. The two senseis were circling each other, sending each other a flurry of punches and kicks. But when Johnny landed a punch the same time Daniel landed a kick, they both fell on the mat. "Point Lawrence!" "Point LaRusso!" Sam and Katie said and wave the flags at the same time. "Are you sure." Sam and Katie asked each other.
"Check the replay." Demetri suggested, and the Miyagi-Fang students checked the footage on Chris's, Jesse's, and Clara's phones.
"Go to another angle." Johnny suggested.
"There is no other angle." Chris reminded Johnny.
"Now that you mention it, Jesse and I were recording from another angle." but before they could check the footage on their phones, Hawk, who was with Julia, showed up with a hood over his head. "Hawk? Julia?" Miguel noticed the two.
"Shit, Eli, what happened?" Demetri asked. Hawk pulled down his hood, and his mohawk was gone, except for a few purple patches on his head. Julia realized that when Emma meant makeover, they meant they were cutting off Hawk's mohawk.
"Who did this?" Johnny asked. He was not letting Cobra Kai get away with this, even though Julia's hair was still intact.
"Cobra Kai happened." Julia answered bitterly. "She's right, Kreese and Silver did this, they need to pay." Johnny reminded Daniel.
"Jesus, Johnny, please. Kreese tried to kill you. You wanna fight them both?" Daniel asked. "Damn right. Look what they did." Johnny said as he vowed vengeance.
"Dousing the fire with gasoline, that's your answer? Why am I not surprised?" Daniel scoffed.
"Sensei, stop." Miguel said.
"You still think your way is the only way. You were so proud when they pulled their little sprinkler prank. If they kicked ass like I taught them, this never would've happened." Johnny told Daniel, who countered. "If they fight every time they're provoked, where does that lead? Back to the hospital? Or to jail? Just 'cause you spent time in both..."
"Enough, Dad." Sam cut Daniel off, who asked, "What?"
"Johnny's right. It doesn't matter how many times we stand up to Cobra Kai, if we don't strike back, they're gonna keep coming at us." Sam urgently reminded Daniel.
"And you were worried about my influence on your kids? Is this what you want, Johnny? To have my daughter and the rest of my students acting like you?" Daniel asked Johnny.
"You don't have to worry about it anymore. 'Cause we're done."
"Works for me."
"Eagle Fangs, let's go." Johnny said, and he and the Eagle Fang students left the Miyagi-Do dojo. At that point, the partnership between Daniel and Johnny was no more.
