TRAVIS' POV
I carry Taylor inside and lay her down on the couch. I grab an ice pack from the freezer and I grab water and an Advil and bring it back to her. I kiss the top of her head and she wakes up.

"Sorry for waking you up sweetie, I thought you would want some medicine," I say. Taylor nods and takes the pain medicine and I sit behind her as she lays on my stomach. I put the ice pack on her chest and she fell back asleep. I turn on the TV and put on a movie. She slowly wakes up about an hour later and starts to cry. "Hey, Tay, what's wrong? Are you okay?" I ask.

"My ribs hurt and my head is spinning," Taylor says.

"I'm sorry baby. You can have more medicine in a few hours. Do you want to do anything?" I ask.

"I don't know!" Taylor says and starts to cry into my shoulder. I rub her back gently. She leans over the side of the couch and starts to cough. She turns back over and starts to cry harder. I gently put an ice pack across her chest. She falls back asleep. I fell asleep at some point and woke up to Taylor saying my name. "What's wrong Tay?" I ask, wiping away her tears.

"I coughed up blood," Taylor says looking up at me. I quickly sit up.

"Tay, you know you have to go to the doctor. Your ribs or lungs might be really hurt," I say. Tay nods. I carry her out to the car and take her to the hospital. "Taylor said she was coughing up blood and the medicine didn't do anything to help her. We wanted to make sure she's okay." A doctor takes Taylor to the back and I follow. They take a closer x-ray to look at her lungs along with the ribs.

"So, it looks like the lung collapsed, we'll have to put a chest tube between her ribs to drain the air to allow the lung to re-expand. She can have the surgery today and she can go home hopefully tonight, otherwise tomorrow morning. She just has to recover for a few days to a few weeks depending on how she feels," The doctor says. Taylor's eyes fill with tears as she looks at me. I take her hand and she leans over to a trash can and starts to cough up blood again. "We want to do this now to make sure it doesn't get worse." They wheel Taylor to the back to get the chest put in. She comes back a few hours later.

"The lung is healed. She just has to rest," The doctor says. I take Taylor back home and I lay with her in bed.

"Do you want anything to eat?" I ask. Tay shrugs.

"Just like a smoothie maybe. My ribs really hurt," Tay says. I stand up and make a strawberry blueberry smoothie for her. I bring it back up to bed and see her crying.

"What's wrong sweetie?" I ask quickly sitting down next to her. She buries her face in my shoulder.

"It hurts to breathe," Tay says. I rub her back gently trying to soothe her.

"I'm so sorry Tay. I'm right here, do you need anything? You already have an ice pack but you can have some medicine, ibuprofen or Advil maybe," I say. She wipes her eyes and nods. I grab an ibuprofen from the bedside table and hand it to her. She drinks the smoothie and falls asleep in my lap. I text Tree to keep her updated.

Travis: Taylor had to go to the doctor again today, she was coughing up blood. She ended up having a collapsed lung which is better now. She just has to rest for a few days. She still feels like crap, she's had ice and medicine and rest but she's still waking up crying. If you want to come over tomorrow I think Tay would love it.

Tree: Sounds good, thanks for keeping me updated. I'll bring some things over for her, and a heating pad in case that helps better than ice. Her other heating pad broke right?

Travis: Yeah, that would be great thanks Tree!

Tree: Anytime, tell her to feel better for now.

I rub Taylor's arm as she sleeps, it's only around 1:30 so I'm not really tired. I grab a book and read for a little while before she wakes up.

"Tay, how do you feel?" I ask. She shrugs her eyes welling with tears.

"Not good. My ankle hurts and so does my head," Taylor says as a few tears fall down her cheeks. I take the ice pack off of her chest and put it on her head and she smiles at me.

"I love you Tay, I just want you to feel better. Tell me if you feel worse," I whisper.

THE END (actually)
