TAYLOR'S POV

It's my first time at Travis' house. His whole family is here, and we're sitting around the table chatting. I've known Travis for about 3 weeks, and he's been the nicest guy ever. It's going great, until I feel blood. Shit. Why does this happen to me? I excuse myself to go to the bathroom, but I don't know what's going to help. I'm wearing a white skirt, and I'm at Travis' house, he has no need for pads and tampons. I look around for anything. Nope, I'm doomed. I start to panic when there's a soft knock on the door.

"Hey, Tay princess, are you okay?" Travis asks.

"I-um, well I got my period just now and I don't have anything," I say embarrassed.

"Aw sweetheart, can I come in for a second?" Travis asks soothingly. I pull my skirt up and carefully open the door. I didn't even notice I was about to cry until Travis wraps his arms around me. I break down into tears and he leads me over to the closed toilet. I sit down on the lid and just cry for a few minutes. "Here's what we're going to do, I'm going to run to the store and get you some supplies and you're going to put on one of my hoodies and pairs of sweatpants, and don't say no, I don't mind if you bleed through them they can be washed. Then I want you to lay down in our bed and try to relax. I'll be back in 15 minutes." I sniff and wipe my eyes.

"Okay, I'll pay you back later," I say.

"Don't worry about it princess, just take some deep breaths," Travis says, already standing up. "And call me if you need anything or want something specific." Travis takes one more look at me before coming back and kissing the top of my head. "I love you sweetheart." I look up at him.

"I love you too Trav. Thank you," I say quietly. Our first official I love you's. We've told each other we love one another a lot, but never in a life changing way that actually meant something or another. It was always just friendly, even though we were dating. I slip off the toilet seat and walk into Travis' bedroom. I slip into a pair of his sweatpants and one of his hoodies. I tuck my hair behind my ears before climbing into the bed. I crawl under the covers and just start to cry. I'm always emotional on my period, and the never ending cramps don't help either. I'm about ready to die when Travis walks in.

"I got a couple, I wasn't sure what you would want," Travis says, holding out a basket. Tears brim my eyes and I choke out a tear.

"Trav- no you did not. You- what?" I say. The basket is filled with pads, tampons, a heating pad, a stuffed bear that I left at my house that I had gotten when I was a baby, and a few varieties of chocolates.

"Feel better princess," Travis whispers sitting down next to me. I don't say anything but just kiss him. Long and hard. When we finally let go Travis wipes tears away from my eyes. "Don't cry Tay."

"You're too sweet Trav, I can't, you're the best," I whisper. I go to the bathroom and put on what I need before walking back out. I lay down in bed and Travis lays down next to me. "Travis- your whole family is out there." I say.

"They can wait, I told them you weren't feeling well and I wanted to stay with you for awhile," Travis says. I feel a few more tears fall down my cheeks and I laugh a little. Travis adjusts the heating pad for me to try to cool more cramps and he wraps his arm around my waist before running his fingers through my hair. He whispers soft words to me until I fall asleep. I woke up about 30 minutes later to a soft kiss on my hair. "Hey sweetheart, do you want to go down to the family and we can watch a movie with them?" He asks.

"Yeah, that sounds good, can I sit on your lap?" I ask. Travis nods and helps me up. We walk downstairs, with no heating pad and I can already feel the cramps starting again. Travis seems to notice because he leads me to a large chair and we sit down and he starts to carefully rub my abdomen as the movie starts.

TRAVIS' POV

Taylor ends up falling asleep almost 20 minutes into the movie but I don't mind. She's feeling horrible and uncomfortable. The movie ends and the whole family starts to stand up and get ready to leave.

"She's really made for you Trav. You're amazing to everybody, but Taylor, jeez, she really brings out the teddy bear in you," Jason says. He gently pats my shoulder before leaving.

"Travis. Jeez, that poor girl, it's her period right?" Mom asks. I nod. "Well tell her to feel better and drink lots of water. She seems the type to forget, and take good care of her. We all love her and are rooting for the two of you." Everyone leaves and Taylor wakes up a few minutes after.

"Where'd they all-? Taylor starts looking around.

"They left while you were sleeping," I say gently rubbing her arm.

"What? Oh my god I'm so sorry Travis. I've been horrible today. It was supposed to be the day I met your family and everything, I'm so sorry. I feel so bad," Taylor says, tearing up.

"Hey, hey it's no big deal. You're not feeling well, it's not your fault you're on your period, don't feel bad. Please, my family already loves you, they've been praising you since before they knew you. You did nothing wrong," I say, wiping away a single tear that fell. Taylor smiles and kisses me before falling back asleep.
