Sarah's Living Room – Evening

The living room is dimly lit, with soft light emanating from a lamp beside the couch. Sarah sits on the couch, looking pensive, while Lucas is seated across from her, noticing her troubled expression. The room has a cozy, intimate atmosphere, with a few framed photos on the walls and a throw blanket draped over the arm of the couch.

Lucas (concerned):"Sarah, you've been quiet all evening. Something's bothering you. Do you want to talk about it?"

Sarah (hesitant, fiddling with a cushion):"Yeah, actually... There's been something on my mind that I need to share with you."

Lucas (nodding encouragingly):"I'm here for you. Whatever it is, we'll work through it together."

Sarah (taking a deep breath):"It's about Tristan. You know he's been spending a lot of time with us lately—"

Lucas (interjecting gently):"Yes, I've noticed. He seems to be getting along well with you and Stan."

Sarah (nodding, her voice trembling slightly):"That's just it. I've been feeling really conflicted lately. Seeing Tristan again, spending time together... it's brought back a lot of old feelings. And I didn't realize how much it would affect me."

Lucas (sitting up straighter, concerned):"Old feelings? You mean... feelings for Tristan?"

Sarah (looking down, struggling to find the right words):"Yes. I thought I had moved past it. I thought I was content with our life together, but seeing Tristan and how easily we connect—it's stirred up a lot of emotions I didn't expect."

Lucas (gently):"Sarah, I understand that seeing an old flame can bring back feelings. But you're here with me, and we've built a life together. I want to know what this means for us."

Sarah (tears welling up):"I don't want to hurt you, Lucas. You've been so supportive and caring. But I can't deny that I'm feeling torn. I've been trying to focus on our relationship, but this confusion is affecting me deeply."

Lucas (reaching out to hold her hand):"I appreciate your honesty. It must be incredibly difficult to feel this way. I just need to know what you want. Do you need time to figure things out? Or is there something specific you're struggling with?"

Sarah (squeezing his hand, her voice shaky):"I don't know yet. I need to sort through my emotions and figure out where my heart truly lies. But I want to be honest with you about what's going on. I don't want to make any decisions while I'm still confused."

Lucas (sighing, but remaining calm):"I respect that you're being open with me. I just want you to know that I'm here to support you, whatever you decide. But I also need to understand what this means for our future."

Sarah (nodding, tears spilling down her cheeks):"I know. I'm so sorry for putting you in this position. I need some time to think things through and to make sure I'm making the right choice for everyone involved."

Lucas (gently wiping away her tears):"Take all the time you need. We'll face this together, and we'll figure it out. Just remember that we're a team, and I want to work through this with you."

Sarah (leaning into him, feeling a mix of relief and sorrow):"Thank you, Lucas. Your understanding means a lot to me."

Lucas (holding her close):"We'll get through this. One step at a time."
