Chapter XXI | Divine: The Awakening of Catastrophe and Inferno

Gabbie's POV

Toni was really terrified dahil sa mga gargoyles na naka-paligid sa kanya. There were tons of them pero di nila ginagalaw si Toni, they were just cornering her.

"Guys I found what they're here for. I need backup kahit isa lang near the comfort rooms." I said to the team through the comms.

"Malapit lang ako. I'm on my way." Aliyah replied.

Di ko na inantay pa si Aliyah at tumalon sa sarili kong anino. Lumabas ako sa anino ni Toni sa likod niya, at hinila siya papasok. Lumabas kami sa isang black hole that I generated sa pwesto ko kanina. Medyo hindi ito kita ng mga Gargoyles.

"Gabbie?!" Gulat na saad ni Toni.

Bago pa man ako maka respond sa kanya, isang gargoyle ang lumipad papunta samin at akmang aatakihin kami. Ngunit bago pa man ito makalapit ay isang food stall ang lumipad papunta dito kaya nadurog ito.

I looked around and saw Aliyah near us. I waved at her to show her my location. She just nodded.

"Ano nangyayari Gab?" Tanong ni Toni.

"I'll answer that later. For now, I need you to follow me and stay by my side. Kung may maramdaman ka mang kakaiba na parang gustong kumawala sayo, just let it be. Once you manifest it, a guiding voice will help you." I told Toni.

Third Person's POV

Gabbie didn't know where to hide Toni. Hindi din niya alam kung bakit si Toni ang pakay ng mga Gargoyle. They're just sure na she's a demigod like them kaya kailangan niya protektahan ang kababata.

Gabbie summoned souls to help Aliyah battle with the Gargoyles. Toni was weirded out seeing her childhood friend use their powers. Para siyang nanonood ng anime in real life.

"Sis. Let's lead everything out sa open fields. Mas makakagalaw tayo don." Gabbie told Aliyah.

Aliyah nodded and flew towards the parking space at sinundan siya ng mga Gargoyle. Ang ibang Gargoyle naman ay susugurin sana si Gabbie pero they made a black hole and used it to transport them sa open field.

Nang makalusot sila Gabbie at Toni sa black hole, they saw the lot infested with big gargoyles. Inalalayan ni Gabbie si Toni papunta sa isang gilid na walang tao.

"Pinuno. I'm with my childhood friend dito malapit sa may outlet store ng Nike. I think she's one of us and mukhang siya ang pakay ng mga gargoyle na to. Di ko alam kung san ko siya itatago." Gabbie said through their comms.

Habang inaantay ang response ni Jake, tatlong gargoyle ang lumipad papunta sa pwesto ni Gabbie at Toni. Gabbie immediately made a barrier around Toni and instructed her to stay within that barrier. Then they ran towards the gargoyles.

Gabbie generated 3 balls of darkness on their hands and threw them towards the gargoyles. Naiwasan ng mga gargoyle ang atake ni Gabbie at lumipad ang mga ito para lagpasan si Gabbie at makalapit kay Toni. Gabbie quickly made a rope using darkness and used it to contain the 3 gargoyles about to attack Toni.

Successful naman si Gabbie dahil nahuli niya agad ang tatlo and dispersed it using a black hole. Lumapit muli siya kay Toni to check on her.

"Gab I'm sorry but I think you have to protect your friend until we find out where the Gargoyles are coming from. There's too many of them here, hindi ako makalipat ng pwesto." Jake finally replied through the comms.

After hearing what Jake said, Gabbie sighed and prepared themself to fight. Gabbie was traumatized after what happened sa kanila nila Aliyah at Jill sa lawless land. What's happening now brings back memories kay Gabbie when they had to protect Aliyah and Jill, but failed dahil nakampante siya sa barrier na ginawa niya.
