Chapter seven.
"Peyton."
I didn't even need to turn around, I now recognize that deep voice. Sage.
I took a deep breath, slowly turning to look at him. Maybe I'm being immature about this, but I'm really mad at him. My first week and I'm already known as the "new girl", "Declan's little sister", and now, god knows what people think of me after last night.A ho. Most definitely. One of the 15.
Jesus.
The will happen when hell freezes over.
"How'd you even find me?" I questioned as he sat beside Zoey across from me. They both side-eyed each other.
Of course she told him. Smh.
"I just wanted to apologize," he started. I squinted my eyes, not sure if I'm ready to even hear this or not.
With attitude plastered all over my face, I shot him a glare. "I didn't mean for us to fall asleep, and I sure as hell didn't mean for us to get caught." My face softened, hearing just how genuine he was being. His green eyes shining from the sunlight peaking through the window, his lips rosy, obviously covered in cherry chapstick. His hair messily laying across his forehead.
Effortlessly, picture perfect.
My eyes wandered down to the sleeve of tattoos dancing down his right arm. There's definitely a personal story in those. His left arm accompanied the right with a cross and rose on his bicep. I could also see a slight preview of the one on his collar bone, peaking out from under the collar of his blue t-shirt.
Yum.
"So, Do you forgive me?" He broke me from my admiration. "I won't have too," I laughed. "My brother is probably going to kill us both." We all started laughing, breaking the tension that had been filling the air.
God, his laugh is adorable. It's like whatever hard, intimidating, asshole demeanor he had going... it all faded away when he laughed.
Dude. Snap out of it.
"So, friends?" He asked. Suddenly all of the laughter stopped. Both of them impatiently waiting for my answer.
Could I really be friends with him?
No... no distractions."Hardly," I rolled my eyes.
