Chapter Thirty-Four

Today was the day, we got back to campus yesterday and today Sage was taking me to show me the beach house that we got. It's about 10 mins away from the school, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't super excited. Everyone would be back tonight, but me? I'll be with the only person I want to be around right now, in our very own beach house.

I was packing up the rest of my stuff in my box. Good thing I didn't bring a lot, however now I can't go back home to get the rest of my things, so I guess I'll just start over and buy new things. Sage walked into the dorm, standing in the doorway. "Ready?" He asked. "Yes," I said, picking up the box, walking towards him. "Give me that," He said, taking the box from me. I took one last look at the room, before laying my key on the counter, closing the door, and leaving.

We got into Sage's car and drove out of the school lot. "Do you want some food before we go babe?" He asked and I nodded. "McDonalds?" "Okay." He started driving and rolled the windows down, turning on some music.

I can't believe I'm actually doing this. I'm moving in with the boy I'm in love with, freeing myself of my mother, and living my life to the fullest.....

But I can't help but think about what she said... that I was the reason her and Dad split? What did she mean by that and how could it of possibly been MY fault?

I closed my eyes, remembering all the good memories I made with my dad. I miss him so much. Maybe now that I'm away from my mom, I can find him.

"What do you want?" Sage asked, breaking me away from my thoughts. I opened my eyes to see us in the drive-thru. "Chicken nuggets and a large sprite." He called out the order, pulling up to the window, paying, and getting our food.

Ugh, I love me some chicken nuggs.

We pulled into a small, paved driveway, parking. We're here. I looked to see a beautiful white beach house, with big glass windows. Breathtaking. I felt a huge smile creep into my face. I got out of the car in a hurry, taking it in. The salty air smell, the wind, the sunshine, bouncing off of the side of the house.

It's beautiful and it's all ours.

I was swept off of my feet by Sage, holding me bridal style. "Gotta practice for our wedding night," He laughed, carrying me to the door. I rolled my eyes, laughing too. He somehow managed to open the door while still holding me, walking inside. I looked around to see the room filled with furniture already, hardwood floors, brown kitchen island, and glass sliding doors leading out back to the walkway to the beach.

"Whatcha think?" He asked, putting me down. I smiled, walking a few steps in front of him, looking around in a circle. I looked into his eyes. "I think we're gonna make some memories in a beautiful beach house." He let out a little laugh. "What's gonna be the first memory?" He asked, a smirk on his face. I walked towards him, wrapping my arms around his neck. "Let me show you," I whispered, planting a kiss on his lips.

-

I was upstairs, putting away my things, which was really just clothes, shoes, and jewelry. I was almost finished. Sage was downstairs watching tv, inviting people to the housewarming party he wants to throw tomorrow night. I would protest, because I don't want to see Declan, but I know what happened with mom wasn't his fault, so I chose to not pick a fight about it.

I finished putting everything away, changing into a cropped t-shirt and some leggings, before heading down stairs. I skipped over to the couch, laying my head in his lap, looking up at him. "All done?" He asked. "All done," I smiled. He ran his fingers through my hair, playing with it. "Vampire Diaries?" He asked and I nodded. "Snacks?" I asked and he laughed, "In the pantry."

I smiled big.

This is the best feeling in the world.
