Chapter Fourteen.
"I can't hide the damn thing!" I yelled, slamming my makeup brush onto the counter. I am SO frustrated. I'm also hungover and dealing with a killer headache.
Why do people like to get drunk if this is the result the morning after. Ugh.
I kept staring at it in the bathroom mirror, when one of the girls that sat beside me last night walked up to me. "Can I help?" She offered. She was the one who was going to ask who I was before the other one noticed me wearing the shirt. Hmm...
I nodded, letting out a breath. "Please." She laughed, picking up my concealer and the brush. "I'm a pro at this by now," she laughed, beginning to put the product on my skin. "This is definitely my first," I mumbled. Annoyance making my voice so cold and stern. Her eyes slightly widened, in shock that she knew I was telling the truth.
Little ol innocent Peyton. I know, tragic.
"That's as good as I can do," she smiled. I turned to look in the mirror, the hickey was still visible but not near as much as before. "Thank you," I let out a sigh of relief, packing up my things. "You're so welcome. Sage did that, didn't he?" She questioned. I avoided looking at her and just stayed silent. "It's okay, you don't have to say anything. I'm Josie by the way." "Peyton."
There was an awkward silence for a minute before she started taking again. "I'm sorry for my friend last night... she has always had a thing for Sage and she's just a little crazy over it," she apologized.
Wow. I actually appreciate that.
"It's okay, I get it. He's the "it" boy of the school." We both let out a little laugh at how ridiculous it is that that's the honest truth. "I'll see you around," she smiled before leaving. I gathered my things, tugging the hood on my hoodie closer to my neck.
Let's get this day over with.

I was currently sitting on a bench outside of the school, just finishing up explaining everything to Zoey. She seemed super into what was happening, and I'm not sure how that makes me feel."So you've never," she paused. "Done anything?"
I swallowed hard, biting my lower lip. "No, unless a quick peck on the lips in middle school counts." Her eyes widened. "Declan never let me out of his sight, so I always stayed to myself and focused on school," I explained further. She nodded, understanding. "Well if you want to learn, there's not better teacher than Sage Lawson."She did not just... what. I didn't say I wanted to do anything....
Or do I?
I shook my head, "I can't." She rolled her eyes, "oh you can." "I can't when I have no feelings for him," I denied. She let out a little laugh. "Peyton babygirl, you don't have to have feelings for him to teach you things. That's even better when you're not attached to him emotionally."
Maybe she's right.
I'm in college and I've not so much as made out with anyone. It's time to live a little and enjoy being young.
Screw what everyone else thinks. I can be a little irresponsible sometimes... it's ok to not be perfect all of the time.
"Come on Peyton..." she pushed.
"I dare you."
