Chapter Twenty-Five

Sage and I were cuddled up in bed, the sun shining now.

Wow, that night seemed like it was short.

"We have to get up, P," He said and I groaned. His hand wrapped around my throat, titling my head backwards to look at him.

I don't know where that came from, but god, I loved it. Choke me.

I swallowed hard, as he looked down at me. "You can come back tonight," He smirked, before kissing me. "Okay."

He quickly climbed out of bed, walking over to his dresser. "I need to shower and you need to get back before they start-" He was cut off when there was a knock on the door.

Oh god, please don't be Declan, please don't be Declan.

"Who is-" I started to call out, but instantly hushed when I realized. Both of our eyes widened. "Sage? It's Zoey, can I come in?" I let out a sigh of relief, even if she knows, she wouldn't tell. "Shh," Sage whispered, walking to the door, opening. "Hey Zo," He greeted. "I know she's in there," Zoey said blandly and I couldn't help but laugh.

Damn, she's good.

He stepped out of the way, letting her in, after looking back and seeing I got up and put on the t-shirt and my underwear. "What happen-" She stopped talking when Sage walked away and she looked at him. I looked at him, wondering why she was staring, only to see the scratches all down his back and I couldn't help how red my face got. "What happened to your back?" She asked. Sage turned around, looking between me and her with smirk and her jaw dropped. "Oh my god." She said, staring at me.

Well, she definitely put that together super fast.

"Zoey," I calmed, walking towards her. "You did it," She said in pure shock.

I couldn't tell if she was proud, concerned, or disgusted.

At this point it might be all of the above.

Sage smirked, kissing my cheek, "I'm going to shower, you two can talk." I nodded and he walked out. Her jaw was almost completely to the floor. As soon as he was gone, she looked at me in seriousness. "P, you were drunk last night did he-" I cut her off, shaking my head aggressively. "I sobered up, I remember everything," I reassured her.

"I wanted this. I asked him."

And boyyyyy did he answer.

"You need to fill me in," She instructed and I agreed. "I need to get back to the dorm, let me put on my dress and we can go."

-

We were walking around campus, enjoying the weather. It was warm, but there was a breeze today and it was great. It actually felt like a fall day. I just finished going over everything with Zoey, and trust me, I gave her every single detail. She's my best friend, how could I not?

She was so happy, yet concerned, as any good bets friend would be.

"So, are you okay now? Are you guys together or was this just like your hook up?" She asked and my smile quickly went away. This wasn't just a hook up, but we also aren't officially together, so I had no idea how to even answer that question. "I feel great, and as for that I don't know,"
I shrugged. "It definitely meant more than a hook up, but I don't know what we are."

Such a basic girl question to ask...

What are we?

"I'm so happy for you guys," She clapped her hands together, letting out a squeal. "But in all seriousness, Declan is going to kill you both." I let out a nervous laugh, knowing she's right. "What he doesn't know won't kill him, I want to keep everything a secret right now," I explained and she laughed. "Good luck with that."

-

I just had walked back to my room, hair dripping wet, towel tightly around my body. Fresh out the shower and smelling like a vanilla cupcake queen.  I threw on some black leggings and an old AC/DC t-shirt. I was feeling a little sore, but nothing I couldn't handle, and that steaming hot shower definitely helped. "Zoey," I said, grabbing her attention away from scrolling through tik-tok. She looked up from her phone, raising an eyebrow, waiting for me to answer. "Will you briad my hair?" I asked, wringing it out in the towel. She nodded, tossing her phone on the bed and walking over to me.

She was just about finished when my phone went off and I quickly answered it.

"Hello?"  "Hey babygirl."

The butterflies. Ugh.

"Hi." "Are you coming to stay? If you are, I'll come get you. Have you ate?" "No, but I can," I laughed. "Okay, I'll swing by and get you and we can go grab some food somewhere." "Sounds good, text me when you're outside." "Okay, see you soon."

"Did he just ask you if you've ate?" Zoey smiled and I nodded, biting my lip. "Girl, you're totally his girl now."

I smiled at her response, cheeks a rosy red.

I am..

I'm his girl now.
