Chapter Ten.
Sage: Good morning, P! Let's get coffee? :)
I rolled my eyes at the text. Is he serious? Hell no. And why'd he call me "P"?
Me: No.
I put my phone in my back jeans pocket, grabbed my bag, and headed for the exit. When I opened the door, there stood Sage holding two coffee cups.
You're joking.
"I'm going to class," I said, sliding by him, but he walked with me. "What's it gonna take?" He asked me.
He stepped in front of me, causing me to stand still, forced to look at him. "For what?" "For you to get to know me." I rolled my eyes. "I know enough." He looked for me to continue, so I did.
"Sage Lawson, son of Mr. Joseph Lawson, who is one of the schools main funders. A boy who does as he pleases with no consequences. Drowning in alcohol and girls." He looked at me surprised. "My brother and Zoey filled me in," I explained. He just stood there in silence. I reached out, grabbing a coffee cup. "Thanks for the coffee, but I know enough."
Damn, I'm cold.
I walked around him, but he didn't move.
"You got it all wrong Peyton."
Ignoring him, not second guessing myself, I took a sip of my coffee and walked to class.

I was in the finally minutes of my last class for the day when my phone vibrated. I quickly looked to see two new messages.
Zoey: Staying with Declan tonight, don't wait up! :)
Sage: What are you doing after class?
I ignored both messages, stuffing my phone back into my pocket. A night by myself sounds like a great idea. Peace and quiet to study and sleep.
"We will see you all tomorrow."
I gathered my things and followed the long line out of the room. As soon as I peered around the corner, I was joined by Sage.
Stalking me? Or?
"Go away." He grabbed my arm, turning me to him.
"Give me a chance," he tried. I looked at him sternly.
"Come to the beach with me. I know you haven't been sense you got here, so let's go."The beach? UGH. I LOVE the beach. And he's right, I haven't gone.
"Okay." His eyes widened, "okay?" I nodded. "Come get me at 7." He said okay, then went his own way.
Oh my god, Peyton why would you agree to this...
