Skye actually slept in her own bunk for the first time since she moved into The Bus and she'd also slept in for the first time since she was five and going off to school and being forced to be around other children, that was something Skye never understood about her father (Garret) he was the head of HYDRA and yet forced his daughter (Skye) off to school everyday.

Skye walked into the training room in the afternoon where Grant's punching the punching bag while he waits for Skye when he sees her causing him to place his hand on the bag to stop it swinging.

"You know you're late." Grant states as Skye walks in.

"I'm tired from the morning's workout. I thought I was joining S.H.I.E.L.D., not 24 hour fitness." Skye replied.

"It's called relative strength training, starting with the basics," Grant replied as he double checked the wrapping on Skye's hand. "And next time, you do 15 push-ups for every minute you're late."

"Fine, Mr. Fun machine. Better than pull-ups. I don't ever want to do another pull-up again." Skye states even when she knows how to do everything she's being taught by Grant because she's already been trained by Garret and Grant anyway.

"You find yourself hanging off the edge of a building 20 stories up, you're gonna want to do at least one," Grant replied as he scowled. "Stand here. Jab cross, like this," Grant shows her what to do and Skye copies pretending to have no idea what she's doing. "10 minutes. You know the hardest part about boxing?"

"Getting punched in the face?" Skye retorts.

"Keeping your hands up." Grant replied, he showed her with his own hand, Skye did what he showed her and punched the bag harder.

"Why do I even have to do this? I'm sure Fitz-Simmons' supervising officer didn't make them do this muscle stuff." Skye complained.

Grant frowned. "You said you wanted to be a field Agent, like Coulson," Grant then placed a hand on top of the bag and gestured his head towards the lab. "Well, if you'd like to switch disciplines... Hey, Simmons. What did your S.O. give you guys for morning drills?" Grant asked the British scientist.

Fitz-Simmons was testing something out in the lab.

"Oh, atomistic attribute drills. Yeah, we'd name the mechanical, chemical, thermal..." Grant nodded and looked back at Skye who was hitting the bag with her hands really weakly while Fitz's voice overlapped Simmons'. "Electrical properties of materials."

"Okay, okay. They made your point." Skye replied.

Grant made a gesture with his hands and walked over to the punching bag to hold it in place while Skye punches, but speaks as he does so. "There will come a moment when you have to commit to this or bail," Skye started punching the bag again while Grant continued. "Every field Agent has a defining moment. Ask Coulson," Skye just glances up at him before looking back at the bag. "When you have to make the hard call to either dedicate yourself to this or to curl up in a ball and run."

Skye frowned at the metaphor Grant used and stopped punching the bag. "How can you run if you're curled up in a ball?" she asked before returning to punching the bag, her hands aren't in the right position.

"It's my job as your S.O," Grant grabs Skye's left wrist and raises her hand up before doing the same for her other hand. "To make sure you don't die before then," Skye could hear the hidden meaning in what he said, she knows her father would kill him if any harm came to Skye while Grant was at her side. "Come on." Grant, hitting the front of the bag before returning to hold it back in place.
