Skye's chamber being moved. Coulson is still standing right next to it as it is pushed by some orderlies down a hallway. "She was shot twice in the abdomen at close range almost two hours ago." Coulson said.

"Simmons is on the other side of the chamber with Doctor Jazuat next to her. "She's tachycardia, hypotensive and lost a significant amount of blood. We had to lower her core body temp in order to transport her here." Simmons said.

"It's probably what kept her alive this long," they come to the door of the Operating Room and Simmons and Coulson stop walking. "We'll do everything we can." Jazuat tries to reassure them.

The doors close leaving them on the outside. "Oh dear, I'm a mess." Simmons said.

"No. You were great," Coulson puts a hand to her shoulder in appreciation as she breaths out a sigh.

Inside the operating room. They have the chamber open and are intubating Skye.

"Intubate, and let's start getting that shirt off," Jazuat told them. The monitors and beeping as someone cut Skye's shirt open. They clean off her stomach finding the bullet holes. There is a lot of movement and activity around her as they prep her for surgery. "Okay, let's prep her for ex-lap." Jazuat said.

Fitz-Simmons are on the waiting room couch as Grant sits in a chair, all of them wear worried looks, while Coulson's on the phone.

"I'm here. That's unacceptable. I need to speak to Director Fury immediately, please." Coulson snapped, trying not to raise his voice.

"Why didn't I stop her? I could have." Fitz said blaming himself.

"As if you could stop Skye doing anything she's set her mind to." Simmons looked at her friend.

"I shouldn't have let her go after Quinn by herself. What was I thinking?" Fitz asked.

"It's not your fault," Grant casts a look to Coulson's back. "She shouldn't have been there. I'm her S.O., it's on me." Grant said, he also blames Garrett, given that Quinn was working for him and yet Garrett raised Skye from birth, she was like a daughter to him, so why did he order Quinn to shoot her? That was the question swirling around Grant's mind with many other thoughts, only snapping out of them when May turns to address them.

"The one to blame is the man who shot her, Ian Quinn. He's responsible." she said.

"Yes. The message is: I have an agent dying and there are questions only he can answer." Coulson hangs up his phone and slams it down on the table next to him as the others all look to him. He lets out a sigh and picks his phone back up then walks out of the room.

A little while later, Grant drinks coffee, Fitz appears to be asleep sitting on the sofa and Simmons reads something on a tablet. Jazuat enters the room and they all look up expectantly. Coulson walks closer as the team get to their feet.

"How is she?" Coulson asked.

"Not good. The shots perforated her stomach and penetrated the large and small intestines. We resected what we could but...there's been too much damage." Jazuat answered sympathetically.

"So what's next?" Coulson asked.

"We can keep her comfortable, but you'll need to make a decision on whether or not you want to keep her on life support." Jazuat answered.

Grant looks like someone just hit him, trying not to lose his temper and call Garrett and shoot him personally and even May shows a bit of emotion.

"You're saying there's nothing to be done?" Coulson asked.
