Skye sighed as she and Grant walked into her room. "I wish you could stay."

"I know but your Mom's rules are no humans allowed." Grant said.

"How do you know?" Skye asked, frowning in confusion.

"You pretty much told me," Grant said laying himself onto the bed. "My God these beds are comfy."

Skye chuckled and laid beside him, placing her head on his shoulder. "You know Coulson's probably looking for me?"

Grant sighed and thought for a moment. "HYDRA's researching powered people. Apparently, they're even more obsessed than Whitehall."

Skye tensed up. "How do you know?"

"I monitor all SHIELD and HYDRA feeds, the new heads, List and Von Strucker have an interest in powered people." Grant said.

"And Coulson's looking for me because he'd know by now that Gordon took me, which means he's probably going to make a deal with you, which means he's at the end of any and all resources." Skye realised.

"Probably, and it would look weird if he looked for me only to find me missing myself." Grant added.

Skye laughed and the two of them sat up when Gordon teleported into Skye's room. "Mr Ward, I'm afraid it's time for you to leave now."

Grant sighed and nodded, placing a kiss to Skye's forehead who watched as he and Gordon teleported away, Skye then laid back down on her bed staring up at the ceiling.

The Next Day

Jiaying is sitting looking very unhappy. "I told you I'd put our family back together," Cal said as he is sitting on a small cot like bed as Jiaying sits at a desk in the room. She turns to him putting a smile on her face.

"Yes, you did." Jiaying said.

"Last night was...something – almost exactly as I imagined it. Some things were different. She's still afraid of me." Cal said.

"Whose fault is that, Cal?" Jiaying asked.

Cal gets up off the bed. "No, I know. I know, you're right. I just, I-I wish she could have known me back when we were first married, when I was calm and my – my mind wasn't so...jumbled."

"We've both changed. We're not the people we used to be. To lament that is a waste of time." Jiaying said.

"You're right. She's here now, with us, right? That's pretty cool, right?" Cal leans in toward her putting his hands on the desk to lean on to. "Me being here puts you in a tough spot, I know. I-I know. I see the stink eye from everyone." He stands up and starts walking around again.

"They know you're not like us. They're wondering why you're here." Jiaying said.

"I don't want to make things harder for you. I'll stay here, be quiet, and wait for our next family dinner. Hey, how about next time, we grill, huh?" Cal asked.

"Whatever you like." Jiaying gives him a smile, that reads as false but he doesn't notice, as she stands up from the desk.

"Yeah?" Cal asked.

Jiaying walks around the desk to stand in front of him. "In the meantime, why don't I have Gordon take you to pick up some of your belongings so that your time here is less..."

"Prison-like?" Cal suggested, they both chuckle. "That would be fan-frigging-tastic. I miss my tunes."

Jiaying laughs and smiles then looks down and away from him. She turns her back to him and her face drops all hints of happiness as she then walks out of the room.
