Episode 7: Chaos Theory

Daisy was lounging on the couch while playing a video game that Mack recommended to her, when her phone rings. "Hello?" she asked as she answered it, pausing her game.

"Skye?" Daisy stood up quickly hearing the familiar Scottish accent.

"Fitz, why are you calling me?" Daisy asked, trying to keep her voice steady, so far as she was aware everyone at SHIELD hated her.

"I found out what the ATCU is doing with the Inhumans, May accidentally let it slip to me and I called this number as soon as I found out, in the hopes you'd pick up, so that I could tell you." Fitz explained.

"Why? You're supposed to hate me, I'm HYDRA, I'm the enemy. You're not tracking me are you?" Daisy asked ready to hang up at a moments notice.

"No, you're not getting tracked. Do you want to know or not?" Fitz asked, sounding annoyed.

"Yes, spill it." Daisy said, making sure Fitz wasn't getting tracked on her end.

"The ATCU is putting the Inhumans they find into some sort of gel matrix and into stasis. Until and this is what I heard Coulson saying, 'a better solution' which I think means cure." Fitz said.

"What?! Why?!" Daisy asked, she almost yelled but managed to keep her voice down.

"The ATCU and SHIELD scientists that Coulson leant out are working on a cure, hold on," Fitz put himself on mute for a few minutes, leaving Daisy to her own thoughts when Fitz starts speaking again. "Coulson's gotten to Lincoln, Morse and Mack are explaining to him why the ATCU is working with SHIELD, so now Lincoln's on their side."

"Great, this is fan-fucking-tastic." Daisy huffed sarcastically, placing a hand on her forehead as she paced around.

"Fitz, who are you talking to?" Daisy heard Simmons ask from Fitz's end. "Uh, just my mam, Simmons, I'll come help you soon." Daisy heard Simmons' footsteps move away. "I should go." Fitz said.

"Yeah, agreed, hey Fitz, thanks." Daisy said before hanging up, the brunette sighed as she sat herself down on the couch again.

"Daisy?" the brunette looked up as Grant walked into the room, he looked closely at her face. "What happened?" he asked.

"Fitz called me," Daisy watches as Grant tenses up. "Apparently the ATCU and SHIELD are trying to make a cure for inhumans, and Lincoln's on their side, here's the thing Fitz is one of SHIELD's best scientists and he only found out because he overheard Coulson talking about it," Grant frowns deeply at that, it means Coulson is keeping one of his best scientists in the dark and the fact that Fitz cares for Daisy would explain why he called her. "And now Lincoln's on their side, which is just great." Daisy said sarcastically.

Grant's frown deepened before speaking himself. "Malick wants to meet."

Daisy looked at him in surprise. "Both of us?"

"Yep." Grant confirmed.

"Is there anything we know about him, something we can use against him?" Daisy asked crossing her arms.

Grant chuckled. "I don't recommend blackmailing another head of HYDRA."

Daisy frowns. "But it would be fun."

Grant rolled his eyes but smirked. "Yeah, but a bad idea, come on."

Daisy walked out the room beside him, wondering what they were going to meet Malick for.

Grant and Daisy arrive at Malick's office and are let in by his guards, they both sit across from him while he pours the three of them a whiskey. "So, why are we here?" Grant asked with a sigh as Daisy looked around cautiously.

"We'll get to that. It's a shame about Werner Von Strucker. I hope, for your sakes, he doesn't wake up." Malick said, smiling slightly at the end of his sentence as he chuckled.

Daisy scoffed as she took a sip of her whiskey. "We're not worried. He's weak, like his father." Grant just leaned back in his chair as he drank some whiskey before placing it down. 

"Ah, careful, Ms. Garrett, Mr. Ward. You two paid a price for that boy. You should ask yourselves if it was worth it." Malick said as he drank some of his own whiskey neither Daisy nor Grant decided to correct Malick on her last name.

Daisy once again scoffed and pointed to Malick. "You gave us his location."

"I gave you what you asked for," Malick leaned forward, holding his glass in both hands as he sighed. "I'm just not sure that you're asking for the right things. Revenge only provides a temporary pleasure." Malick said before drinking some more whiskey.

"Ah. But a pleasure, nonetheless." Grant said.

"Ah," Malick chuckled and looked down at the table for a moment before looking back up at Grant and Daisy. "You two should think on a grander scale." Malick tells them.

"Oh, it'll be grand," Grant leaned forward and stared Malick straight in the eye. "Daisy and I are going cut off the head of S.H.I.E.L.D. Because without Phil Coulson, S.H.I.E.L.D. won't grow back." Grant said, noticing how Daisy brightens up slightly at the mention of burning SHIELD to the ground.

Malick watches as Daisy's smirk grows and turns cold. "Everyone in HYDRA has been warned about you two, two of our best killers and now as heads of a HYDRA fraction, everyone was told that if they ever came across you Ms. Garrett to never underestimate you and they were right." Malick said to the woman sitting across from him.

"Hmm." is all Daisy responded with as she finished off her whiskey.

Malick chuckles and then his phone starts ringing he takes it out of his pocket before looking up at Daisy and Grant. "Ohh. Excuse me a moment," Malick walks away. "Ms. Price." Daisy pricks up at the mention of the head of the ATCU, sharing a look with Grant.

Malick speaks to Rosalind while Daisy and Grant look at each other with Grant speaking first. "There are two options, 1. Price doesn't know Malick's HYDRA, 2. Price knows he HYDRA, is HYDRA herself and is taking out SHIELD from within."

"I'd say she doesn't know." Daisy remarks before standing up and pouring herself another whiskey.

Malick turns back around to Daisy and Grant speaking to Rosalind as he looks at the two of them. "Time is of the essence." With that Malick and Rosalind hang up.

So, I've got to write the episodes myself now because the scripting I used doesn't have season 3's episodes.

This is the shortest episode I've ever done, but that's fine, there wasn't much to go off anyway.

So, I had to entirely rewrite this episode seeing as Daisy's defected back to HYDRA.
