A very heavy, metal tripod is being slid across a concrete floor. We cut to a different angle and see Cal still pinned by his legs from the SUV. "This won't hold me for long, Phil." Cal gives the SUV a big shove and it moves a couple of inches.

Coulson is at the back of the SUV and has placed the metal tripod against the back of the SUV turning something on. "It'll hold you long enough," Coulson hits a button and we see that he's placed the battering ram. The ram hits the back of the SUV sending it into Cal again. Cal groans then laughs.

"The hangar's been emptied, locked down," Cal sighs as Coulson walks to stand next to him. "It's just us, Cal, to have a little chat..." Coulson tried to say.

"When I get free I will rip your voice box out of your throat!" Cal reaches out and lunges for Coulson who moves out of his reach.

"And try to come to our senses. Either we walk out of here together or not at all. You got it? We both want the same thing." Coulson said.

"What I want is to snap your spine like celery." Cal said.

"See, I don't think you really do." Coulson said.

"Well, let's test your hypothesis." Cal threatened.

"Oh, I think you're willing to, but want is a different thing. What we both want is to protect your daughter. You're a family man." Coulson said.

"Who is sick of you sticking your nose in our business." Cal added.

"It was your devotion to them that made you willing to do those terrible things all those years ago, wasn't it?" Coulson asked.

Cal stops trying to move the SUV and looks at Coulson very seriously. "Shut up."

"Nightmarish acts of violence that you didn't want to commit, did you?" Cal looks away from Coulson. "Your wife made you do it." Coulson said.

"You don't know her." Cal grip the hood of the SUV and pulls it off, Coulson just has time to duck out of the way before Cal throws the hood at him. "You don't know anything! Say one more word and I'll –"

"I'm not saying your wife is a monster, Cal. I think you already know she's a monster. What I'm saying is that you're not." Coulson interrupts him, Cal stops hitting the SUV and looks at Coulson. "I know you've thought so for a long time. But deep down, you're a good man," Cal mumbles under his breath. "I believe that. I do. You got a big heart full of love."

Cal lowers his head to the SUV. "Stop."

"You wear it on your sleeve. Skye got that from you." Coulson said.

"No." Cal leans back looking in pain.

"That's right." Coulson said.

"No, stop! Stop!" Cal covers his ears with his hands.

"You were just trying to save her, trying to please your wife." Coulson said.

"No, I was trying to put my family back together!" Cal yelled as slams his fist down on the SUV repeatedly.

"Yeah." Coulson said softly.

"I...I reassembled her...piece by piece. Sewed her back up. But she never was the same." Cal said.

"She was out for blood." Coulson realised.

"Before Whitehall, an elder would sacrifice themselves every few decades so she could live on, carry on tradition. She would weep, scream, beg them not to. She had a good heart, Phil. She did. It was just...torn out. And she needs to take lives to heal." Cal said, telling Coulson why Jiaying was the way she was.
