Episode 5: Ruins of Afterlife

"You know, I could train him in Afterlife." Daisy suggested as she and Grant walked around their new base of operations, Grant's arm in a sling after being shot by Hunter.

"Hmm, but SHIELD knows where it is and you're not about to allow that lot to go with you," Grant gestures to the other HYDRA Agents around, doing their own thing. "So, how are you going to manage it?" he asked.

Daisy gives him annoyed looks as she brushed her hair out her face. "Easy, the Quinjet has cloaking, SHIELD's not gonna look for me there and it'll just be you, me and Joey." 

"Hold on, why am I being taken along too?" Grant asked, he and Daisy stopped walking.

"Because, I like spending time with you and you can't always be stuck here all the time, and honestly, I don't trust anyone else with that arm of yours the way it is right now," Grant chuckled, even when they weren't close she'd keep him at her side if he was injured and he'd do the same if she herself was injured, that was actually how they got close and why they came up with their rule of tell the other if injured. "So, you gonna come?" Daisy questioned.

"Hmm, can I leave Kebo in charge?" Grant questioned.

Daisy chuckled. "I think Trainspotting can be trusted to move our base again. Besides, I need a pilot and if I remember correctly, you're a certified pilot," Daisy and Grant start walking again. "When did you learn to be a pilot?"

"In 2009, a year after we met, I was bored so I applied for my pilots license." Grant said.

Daisy scoffed, slightly impressed. "You decided to become a pilot because you were bored? How the hell did my Dad allow that?"

Grant smirked. "He was a pilot, how do you think? It's helpful when piloting a Quinjet to be a pilot just in case."

"Or in which case you take over a plane when you've been outed as HYDRA just to open a hard drive and go to a diner for food." Daisy added with a smirk as they arrived at Joey's containment module.

Joey looked up from his tablet when he saw Daisy step in with an apologetic smile. "I'm sorry, I've been neglecting you, trying to find somewhere to help you control your powers and then SHIELD found us and everything went to shit."

Joey smiled slightly and set the tablet aside, looking up at Daisy. "Have you found somewhere to help me with my powers?"

Daisy smiled and nodded, she sat down in a chair across from him. "Yes, I have, it's in ruins but it's still a good place to train you, it's quiet and no-one will bother us, not even SHIELD," Daisy contemplates mentioning Lash but decides against it, she doesn't want to scare him more than he already has been, so she stood up with a sigh. "Grant's going to take us, your containment module will be moved shortly."

Joey smiled. "Daisy, I've decided," Daisy turned around to face him. "I met Melinda May, she seems nice," Joey notices Daisy's face change for a moment to a sour look before going blank again. "But she and SHIELD are working with people who are hunting me and the ATCU needs to be taken down, SHIELD might just be collateral damage."

Daisy smiled warmly and nodded. "I agree, it's SHIELD's fault if they fall, they sided with people hunting us," she then left, her warm smile growing cold, they had one Inhuman on their side and now they needed to get to the others.

But apparently Alisha was found by SHIELD first and decided to work with them so long as the ATCU left her alone and if the ATCU broke their part of the agreement Alisha would leave without another word and go to Daisy and Grant having heard about them getting Inhumans, even if they only had one, that's what the two women agreed anyway when they were secretly communicating with each other.
