Episode 15: One Door Closes

Skye's tending to a fire and is currently thanking every deity that she can think of that her father taught her how to survive in the woods if needed without shelter. She stops messing with the fire as her eyes travel to the gloves sitting on a desk in front of her. She walks to the gloves and picks one up turning it over looking at it. She pulls up one of her sleeves, with a hiss of pain, and we can see the many bruises using her powers caused on her arms. She presses on some of the bruises and once again hisses with pain, then pulls on one of the gloves. She groans as it goes on the lets out a little sigh once it's in place. She pulls on the other glove then looks down at her arms. A blue light appears on the gloves the flashes down the length of them. She holds on to the edge of the chair and sags back a little.

"Whoa." Skye sits at the computer and hits some buttons so she can connect with The Playground. A message appears on the screen, Connection Lost. She hits another button but nothing happens so she picks up her cellphone. 

She can hear the phone ring then hear Simmons' voicemail. "Hello, this is Jemma Simmons. Please leave a message."

"Hey, Jemma. It's me. Um, can you call me back? I – I put the gloves on, but, uh, are they supposed to make you feel woozy?" While she leaves her message she stands up from the chair and looks at the connections at the back of the computer. "Maybe that's just a side effect. Also, are they supposed to be this tight?" Skye appears laying on the ground checking out the wires for herself, she sees where they are fed into the wall. "I'm not complaining, I'm just wondering. Anyway, call me back when you can. Okay, bye."

She hangs up the phone putting it back on the desk as she looks at the spot in the wall where the wire ends. She taps on the wooden wall but hears a metallic clicking sound with her taps. She gets to her knees looking at the wall with curiosity. She gets to her knees and continues to knock on the wall. The first spot she knocks sounds like wood. She continues to knock until she finds an opening in one of the panels in the wall. She finds a letter opener and puts it between the slats then pries the piece of wood away from the wall. Behind the panel of wood is a hexagon shape made out of metal, the same honeycomb material that makes up the holding cell on The Bus. Skye takes off a panel of wood above the one she's already removed, there's another hexagon but this one has a large fist print embedded in it.

"Whoa." She makes a fist with one of her hands and places it inside the fist mark on the wall, her hand is not even half the size of the fist mark. We hear the sound of electricity crackling, Skye hears it as well and looks around nervous. She walks to a keypad next to the front door and it shows the area as being secured. She turns on the laser grid around the cabin then looks around the cabin. She looks out one of the windows then shuts the drapes and continues to look around the cabin.

"Uh, Fitz, why did you make me watch "Paranormal Activity"?" she wonders to herself when she hears the sound of the electric crackling and picks up the poker from the fireplace holding it like a weapon. She opens the front door, peeking out the crack, then opening it wide to find the area empty. She takes one step onto the porch looking around, then goes back inside and closes the door. She walks deeper into the cabin when suddenly there's a knock on the door that makes her jump. 

Skye hurries to the door and opens it up to find the eyeless Gordon on the front porch, she points the poker at him. "Hello, Skye. I'm Gordon. May I come in?" he asked, Skye just stares at him before moving.

Gordon enters the cabin chuckling as his eyeless face is looking at the poker in her hand. "So, what's the plan with that?" he asked.

Skye looks down at the poker then up at Gordon as she shuts the door. "You...you can see?"
