MY KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOUR

Two days later...

"I miss Mia and her craziness," Nora said, chuckling as she strolled down the street to get some things. She bumped into Dylan and hissed, wanting to turn back, but Dylan held her hand.

"Let go of me now before you infect me with your craziness," Nora scoffed.

"Nora, please, I need my girlfriend back. I've missed her. I know you can talk to her, and she would have a change of heart easily. Nora, please help me, I'm broken," Dylan pleaded.

Nora removed her hand forcefully and scoffed. "You psychopath, I don't want to ever cross paths with you again. My girl is done with you and your craziness, and she's doing just fine - oh, with Bryson Tyler, that's who she deserves, not a psychopath like you."

Nora tried to walk away, but Dylan dragged her roughly, pulling her hair tightly as she started shouting. "You bitch! How dare you say that?" he yelled.

Just then, a guy popped out of nowhere and pushed Dylan roughly to the ground. He climbed on him and gave him several punches. Nora was stunned, staring at the guy raining punches on Dylan. She recognized him as Husayn, the guy who appeared in her mall a few days ago. She smiled and muttered, "My knight in shining armor."

After beating Dylan to a pulp, Husayn stood up and grabbed Nora's hand, pulling her away until they reached a restaurant. "What would you like to eat?" he asked calmly.

Nora stared at him and smiled. "Thank you, Husayn. If you didn't show up, I wonder what would have become of me now."

"Who's he to you?" Husayn asked.

"My friend's ex-boyfriend. The guy is so obsessed and very jealous, which resulted in their breakup," Nora explained.

"So why is he involved with you?" Husayn asked.

Nora sighed and explained everything to Husayn, who gasped in surprise after hearing the story. "That's crazy. I wonder how she was able to put up with him for three years," Husayn exclaimed as he called a waiter and gave their orders.

Minutes later, they were served, and Nora couldn't help but blush. "Thank you, Husayn," she said shyly.

"Don't mention it. Dig in," he said, and Nora started eating.

"So, are you in a relationship?" Husayn asked, and Nora almost choked on the meal in her mouth. Husayn winked at her and smiled.

"In the past, he broke my heart, snubbed me, and married another lady," Nora said sadly, thinking of Jack.

"That's bad. He lost a rare gem," Husayn said, feigning sadness, and Nora chuckled.

"You know my story, too - got cheated," Husayn said in a low voice, and Nora nodded. There was silence, only the sound of their cutlery being heard.

Meanwhile, Mia and Bryson had met with many investors willing to invest in their company, which made them excited.

Mia was exhausted as she ran after Bryson, who was heading to meet the last investor for the day. "Seriously, is he a robot?" she scoffed, trying to catch up with him, but she just couldn't. She was dressed in one of the long dresses Bryson had bought for her, which covered her entire body, reaching her toes. Despite its length, she still looked beautiful in it, and the tight-fitting dress gave her a nice shape, although Bryson hadn't known her exact size, and some of the dresses he got her were oversized.

She groaned as she finally reached his side. "I told you I'm not used to this type of dress, boss," she whined.

"This is the fourth time you'll be saying this today, get used to it, Mia," Bryson scoffed and walked up to Mr. Charles, who was already seated, waiting for them. They shook hands and exchanged pleasantries while Mia also greeted him cheerfully, smiling.

"I guess she's your P.A., right?" Mr. Charles asked, but Bryson only nodded.

"She's really pretty and decent," Mr. Charles said, and Mia blushed. "Thank you, sir," she replied.

Bryson screamed inwardly, "Seriously? Why do they still find her attractive? Nobody has the right to look at her that way except me." But he wouldn't say that out loud. He cleared his throat as he spoke up. "Mr. Charles, are you here for business or to admire somebody's girlfriend?"

"Oh, I didn't know she's taken. I apologize," Mr. Charles pleaded, and Mia scoffed. "I'm single as letter I" Mia thought as she glared at Bryson who was signing the deal with him. He grabbed Mia's hand and dragged her out of Mr. Charles' sight, who was still staring at Mia and licking his lips.

Getting to the car parking lot, Mia cried out, "Boss, you're hurting me. Your grip is too tight on me." Bryson didn't realize he was holding her hand and removed it immediately, muttering "sorry" before entering the car, while Mia followed suit, and they drove off.

"So, are you going to wear me a sackcloth for tomorrow's meeting since you don't want guys ogling at me?" Mia teased, and Bryson frowned. "Like I care," Bryson scoffed and rolled his eyes.

"Do you like me?" Mia teased again, and Bryson gasped in surprise, almost running into a vehicle as he brought the car to a halt instantly. Mia chuckled and gave him puppy eyes. "Stop playing," he replied icily and started the car again. "Ouch! That hurts," Mia said, feigning sadness, and Bryson smiled.

There was silence throughout the ride until they got to the hotel. "I'm so exhausted," Mia said, yawning tiredly as she fell onto her bed. Bryson sat tiredly on his bed, facing Mia. He stared at Mia and thought for a while. "Do I like her?" He sighed as he rumpled his hair.
